I have lived in Irvine for approx 10 yrs. When I first moved here I had 2 Labradors and checked the local veterinarian offices. My first visit was at a clinic in Tustin and I had the BEST experience with the doctor who looked at my pets (Dr. Arthur Bass). The next time I went to the clinic I heard Dr. Bass had moved to a different location and I was VERY disappointed. My dogs were 5 at the time, and I had seen well over 8 different doctors and NONE compared to Dr. Bass!! I stayed at the clinic and became friends with the manager who ended up leaving and opening her own clinic. When she told me the doctor she was partnering up with at the new clinic was Dr. Art Bass I was ELATED!! I have been a client of Newport Pet Clinic since they very first opened their doors!!! I carry their business cards with me to hand out to any and everyone I meet!! Every single person I have sent to Newport Pet Clinic have ALL contacted me and told me that I am RIGHT!! They are without a DOUBT the best veterinarian clinic in Orange County....if not in ALL of Southern California!! I know people from over 40 miles away who have their pets taken care of by Newport Pet Clinic! They are knowledgable, compassionate, friendly, honest and absolute animal LOVERS!! You couldn't ask for anything more than those qualities in a doctor for your beloved pet. I've been going to the Animal Clinic of Tustin Ranch (Jamboree & Irvine Blvd) for about four years and the service has always been great. The staff and doctors are very friendly and accomodating. I take my 2 cats and dog there.
I have never been anywhere else, so I can't comment on the price. But the most important thing is that I get the feeling that they treat your pet like their own.

I have used Dr. Hanson once, when my regular dog's nuerologist was out of town. He was very nice and gave my dog a very thorough exam. I was very worried and even though they were very busy and he was leaving the next day (for the same conference my vet was at) they squeezed me in.
