Last weekend I was attempting to clean out my garage. Since I have two young children, it is full of scooters, bikes, ride-on cars, and all kinds of junk. We have not had our cars in the garage for two years. I was clear that I needed to do something. After searching for garage organizers and shelving units, I came across Home Design Elements. They have a design center in Sterling, so I drove out there to get the scoop (we live in Gainesville). It was worth it. They have all kinds of organization products, from very simple to highly customized. Jim, the owner, sat with me and went through the basics and then a nice guy actually helped draw out a plan.
They are coming to the house to do measurements and we expect to have the couple of shelving units and hanging systems installed next week - just need time for the right parts to come in.
I'm thrilled with how helpful these people were. Doing it myself would be a big project - I'm glad I found someone who specializes in this work.
Oh - the reason for the post! I killed two birds with one stone because I saw in their design room that they had blinds that would work on my french doors leading out to my deck. It has been a pain to find the right type of blinds for this - and Home Design had them. Anyway, I'm measuring that and going to buy the blinds too - I'll install myself since it seems like an easy job.
