Too good to be Chocolate 2/19/2006

Like chocolate? Then you better find a way to this store. Daffin's Candies has one of the largest selections of chocolate around. From standard fare to huge sculptured chocolate figurines, this place has it all. The smell itself lures you into buying something. Weekly bus tours often end up here so weary shoppers can re-energize themselves on a chocolate fix. If you are smart, you won't go there while you are hungry for a treat. A worthwhile stop for any chocolate craver!! more

The Chocolate Kingdom 2/15/2006

What better way to complete your day of visiting the world's largest shoe store than to stop at the "world's largest candy store?" Daffin's Candies, home of the chocolate kingdom, was one of my favorite spots growing up. In addition to the massive amount of candy for sale, DC features huge, molded and sculpted chocolate arranged in various displays, including a 400 lb chocolate turtle, 75 lb chocolate frogs, and a 125 lb. chocolate reindeer. Not impressed yet? Well... that's just the beginning. I'm not sure if this is an example of genius or insanity.. but who really cares when chocolate is involved! more
