The buzz on this place was too much to take so we finally tried it last night. Fantastic pizza! Authentic, Sicilian style, thin crust, garlicky pizza. Great place for families. We watched the Sox, played cards with the kids and ate amazing food. We are loyal Blind Onion fans, but this place topped the charts. Great wine/beer selection too. We went on a weeknight. I think weekends are super busy. Great takeout, too.
Pros: excellent food, laidback atmosphere, FAST service
Cons: small restaurant, probably gets pretty crowded at peak dinner times

The pizza and salad are made with good ingredients. Great taste. Restaurant is kept clean. A good place for family dining. Cons- can be noisy inside, depending on the number of kids present. Not a good choice for quiet dining.

Honestly - it doesn't even matter that the bill can be a little steep after Teryaki Zone. It's so worth it. You get a huge amount of FRESH food, made when you order it. And the rice is honestly some of the best I've had at a teriyaki place.

I enjoyed touring around Shorty's nursery last weekend. They have quite a stock of everything from fresh floral arrangements to fruit trees. I noticed a nice sale on some fall flower favorites, Blackeyed Susans. Shorty's has an excellent selection of all garden plants. I thought I received excellent service and I look forward to returning soon.

I went to the ampitheater for the very first time July 4th, 2005 and saw Queensryche and Judas Priest. I have never been to a better place for a concert than here, you can pretty much sit anywhere and get a good view. I was in the second row right in the middle and had no complaints. The bands sounded great, and the stage was excellent. They seem to get some really good bands too, because Motley Crue played shortly after the concert I went to. I'm hoping to see more bands in the future here sometime. But beer drinkers, beware! They were selling beers for $9 each. Most everyone was drinking their own beer in the parking lot anyways, but security doesn't allow that, so be careful.

You probably went to this type of hardware store with your dad or grandfather. Right on the corner of Main Street in Ridgefield, Ridgefield Hardware is a step back in time, the local hardware store that had everything you need. However, Ridgefield Hardware also has a really good selection of what you need, so don't overlook it because it's not the size of a Home Depot or Lowe's. You can find what you need for that home repair--and even great things you didn't know you needed--right here in Ridgefield.
Since we live in downtown Ridgefield, I can attest that there have been plenty of times we needed just a little something--painter's tape, a certain size of nail, a little more caulk, or even a tub stopper--to finish a project. I walked up the street, picked up what I needed, and walked back. What a pleasure, especially compared to a 30 to 40 minute roadtrip to a huge superstore where they couldn't care less what I need. At Ridgefield Hardware Store, you're guaranteed to have good service, which is worth a trip all by itself. And the store "mascot", Otis, is a tiny dog who is famous in his own right. He even had a campaign to be city manager (a position since won by the more qualified George Fox). How many big hardware stores have a mascot you can pet for a few minutes? :)
In addition, Ridgefield Hardware somehow manages to keep a wide range of really interesting things, like beautifully crafted weather vanes and seasonal flags for the outside of your home. I've found great holiday decorations and even dishes there. It's just a super bonus from a great local store.

I absolutely LOVE the Pacific NW Best Fish Company! Who knew you could get the freshest fish around in tiny little Ridgefield? You can count on amazing quality and great service every time.
The retail area seems almost like an afterthought to more of a warehouse operation, but it's a pleasant afterthought, with an artistic Northwest flair to its simple design. Whether you're looking for wild salmon or freshly harvested oysters, flash frozen berries (at a great price BTW) or delicious condiments, you'll find it all here. I've never managed to walk in without coming home with something delicious. Every product is top quality, and the service is phenomenal.
It's well worth the little drive off the interstate to visit this store. And if you have time, stop at their teeny little restaurant in front for a fish taco or some fish and chips. Tasty, quick, and cheap, for an added smile.

We've all been in the horrific fluorescent glare of a standard convenience store, with warnings and surveillance counters and shifty clientele. The complete opposite of the standard convenience store is Zebrun's Starliner, a small town convenience store with great taste and great atmosphere.
Even though it is a fairly small store, Zebrun's manages to pack a lot of punch into the small space. You can find a good wine selection and craft beers, great sodas and fun snacks, and even a small deli counter. Not a lot of produce, but then again, there's probably not much call for it. Just about anything else you need is probably there somewhere.
They make coffees for you at the counter if you're desperate for a latte, and they also do sandwiches from the deli area if you're really hungry. It's a great place to run for a few tnings you need--or to sit and talk for an hour with someone you see there.
The service isn't always the best (depends on who is working at the time), but if they're not too busy, you're likely to find yourself chatting about the weather or why you're visiting Ridgefield, or even about local events. It's that kind of place.
For a convenience store with charm and old-fashioned style, stop into Zebrun's. It's part of what makes Ridgefield the charming town it is.
