Great prices and quick shipping on orders. They have many great videos on Youtube that will help you learn and understand how to install the equipment. I'm a DIY sort of person that is probably more technical than the average joe. I hate paying for "professional" installation on things that I can do myself. Alarm Grid was exactly what I was hoping to get from an alarm service company. My old company Mountain Alarm Systems was horrible even on a good day. Griffin and his team were extremely responsive and as knowledgeable as one could be on a 30+ year old Networx nx8 system that is no longer being supported. I needed confidence in my new alarm company selection and they certainly have passed the test. Looking forward in working with then on retiring my old system and configuring a new Honeywell 21ip system in the very near future. 5 stars for sure ***** more

Off to a fantastic start 4/7/2023

I bought an open box Honeywell Lyric panel from eBay that naturally arrived at 3PM the Friday before Easter Weekend, and I REALLY wanted to have my holiday weekend off to finally do so something with the dozens of 2gig 345 connectors left by the previous owner of my home. I set up a new AlarmGrid account online with Automatic Activation but the unit didn't seem to be connecting even an hour later, and the account panel said I was still "Pending." I called at 5:30 and begged the support rep to set me up. Despite being near the end of his shift for a holiday weekend with a bunch of other activations, Travis at AlarmGrid heard the (hopefully polite) desperation in my voice and went the extra mile to finish setting my Lyric panel up. (I didn't realize I needed to set the Communication Path to Wifi, and had apparently use the wrong MAC address to boot.) Once my rookie mistakes were fixed, he had my LCP up and ready to go and home ready to secure — even though I bought it somewhere else and was just signing up for self-monitoring. Best Alarm Company Ever!!!! 3/31/2023

Today Travis from Alarm Net setup my new alarm account. He was very helpful and friendly. He did all of the programming for me!!! All I had to do was test the system for him after he finished. Absolutely Flawless Experience 8/22/2022

Ordered my Qolsys IQ-4 panel and accessories from Alarm Grid. Prior to the sale, they expertly and patiently answered all my questions, whats if's,etc. They regularly informed me of the delivery status and ensured that I received the material. I installed the system (very straightforward) scheduled connection to Alarm.com and after 15 minutes, I was fully operation. The knowledgeable and astute patient technican stayed on the phone until everything was fully operational. I am very pleased and consider myself a very smart person for choosing Alarm Grid. more

Terrible customer service/support 5/23/2022

Don’t take my word for it… Just try to call them. You get courtesy hung up on after 40 mins on hold. Once you eventually start working with them live it doesn’t get any better. The activation reps have zero technical understanding. If your system doesn’t immediately connect and start working they have no idea how solve even the most basic issues. I had to watch YouTube videos to figure out how their alarm grid software (that I can’t access) worked and what their “default” settings were in order to go back into my system and figure out where the mismatch was. As it turns out, it was exactly what I had suspected and their tech had dismissed. All I had to do was to enable the communicator inside of the panel and to clear one of the touchscreen consoles off of their default address of 2. Their tech sent me a link to use Telnet to try to figure out why my “internet isn’t working” despite me repeatedly demonstrating to them that my internet worked fine all the way up to the point where it connected to the panel…The tech told me they have no level II support and if he couldn’t fix the issue, no one could… more

Alarm Grid Service 2/7/2022

My first interaction with Alarm Grid was thru their chat-line to obtain information thru the Alarm.com app about a communicator upgrade needed for my GC2 panel. After having issues reaching my current service provider, they provided information, sourced the correct part and then fulfilled my order promptly. When the component arrived about 4 days later, I watched the video tutorial online (by George), downloaded the firmware and then installed the new communicator without any issues. It really took the fear out of handling the upgrade and I was so impressed with the process that it was a relatively easy decision to transfer my Alarm.com subscription to this company. Griffin on the support team was equally helpful and very knowledgeable with the GC2 panel... he also expedited the conversion and willingly helped to clear the error messages I had been receiving for over a week. It is very reassuring to know that this company will be there when I need them. Great service, very competent support techs and the absolute best tutorials online for DIYers - I recommend them highly. more

Amazing Customer Service 11/23/2021

I have spent weeks trying to find someone who could assits me with my alarm panel activation correctly. After dealinmg with 2 other companies unsuccessfully Darrell and Alarm Grid got it DONE in under an hour. Just installed my smart home security system 7/23/2021

I just finished installing a Honeywell Lyric Controller in my house with the 5800CW module that converts your existing wired sensors to wireless. The videos on Alarmgrid's website were very helpful, but if you don't have decent electrical knowledge, you might consider hiring someone or invite a friend. Alarm Grid was very helpful along the way and signing up for their monitoring service was very painless, good job guys. more
