The kitchen was not accommodating at all to my friend's allergies & dietary restrictions. There were clearly several items on the menu that they could have put together for her, but they couldn't be bothered to provide actual customer service. I was very disappointed at this. I've eaten here before. The food is delicious, but this experience has put me off. Not to mention it's very loud and you are literally sitting shoulder to shoulder with the other diners. There are more enjoyable restaurants to spend my money. more

We waited forty minutes for the 1st course which was a salad for all of us. Other than that the food was good. more

I heard that Prelude was opening its doors with a new menu. I was very excited for this change because i had been to the resturant before and i did enjoy the food and atmosphere. None the less the new menu would be a good change. My fiance and i visisted prelude on Tuesday the 25 of January. For our 3 courses we started off with salads which were delicious. I ordered the greek salad, it was perfectly seasoned and i loved the sweetness of the baby heirloom tomatoes. DELICIOUS! My fiance ordered the tuna salad this plate was not only beautiful but delicous! For our second corses... what a bitter dissappointment. I got a chicken pot pie which i felt was an odd addition to the menu becuase it is a random food choice. Nonetheless i still decided to go with it. Horrible the pie dough was greasy and the inside filling was goopy not good at all. It was almost like eating glue with some pieces of corn. Please dont get this item. The other entree that we ordered was the trout dish. But we got the dish and wondered where the fish was at. It was custed with some kind of almond mixture which completly over powered the fish. Its such a shame becuase i was really excited for this new chnage. We did finish the dinner off with delicous sweets. We shared a berry bowl and the new creme brulee trio. Perfect finish. more

My first visit surprised me, as some if the reviews I read were disappointing. The food portions were more than generous, and yes, the plates are very large and have silly shapes. That did not distract from the quality. On the prix fix before dhow dinner, I chose a salad and soup, entree (chicken), and passed on dessert. All the dessert portions were oversized, which made it fine to share with my dining partner. Service was attentive, if not perfect, but the bottom line is Prelude is a very good pre Arscht Center show destination with good value. more
