El Dorado is your straight-up average golfer's course. That's meant to be a slam, it just is what it is. While there is nothing special about it, it's still a fun course for a weekend or even a company outing. It's only one a few courses with 27 holes, so there's usually plenty of room and that's one of the reasons they are able to cater to group outings as well as they do. The staff is also extremely helpful and there a plenty of rental sets available. Make the drive and try out Eldorado!

Its a fun day usually whenevery you make it out here. The staff is very nice and friendly. Also the course is great and challenging but not enough to scare away newcomers and overall it is a great course and is maintained in great condition. Its a great alternative to other fun things you can do one your day off.

Ironwood Links is one of those courses that is buried away from major thoroughfares, but well-kept. The front nine is short and wide open, perfect for youth or beginners. It's a confidence builder. The back nine is also short, but shady, and more challenging. Tree-lined throughout, it's an excellent value and a great quick get-away just south of Lansing.

Not only is it a bit of a drive to get to Branson Bay Golf Course from just about anywhere, it's definitely not worth it once you actually get there. The course has a fairly decent and challenging layout, but that hardly compensates for the poor quality of the fairways and greens, not to mention the drive. Don't expect either side to be without some sign of massive construction all season long. You can definitely find better golf for even less money, and they're all much closer to Lansing than Branson Bay. (See my other reviews for those.)
