Stayed here for our Wedding night so we were able to go to the Tulalip Casino using the shuttle. Our first choice would have been to stay at the Tulalip Resort Casino hotel but it was booked. Checked in at about midnight, was at the casino until 4AM, came back for 'wedding night bliss' and we checked out by 10AM. We paid cash for our stay, then realized a few days later that our credit card had been charged $276.50!! Called to find out what was going on only to have to leave a message for the manager who never returned my call. Called her again, she answered this time and apologized she hadn't called back due to being so busy--if a customer is overcharged shouldn't this be a priority to call back?? Leah stated we were charged for smoking in a non-smoking room--which did not occur. I asked what evidence she had for this, and what I would need to do to get the charges reversed and Leah kept telling me the charges would remain. Leah did go back on her word and say she would have check to make sure with the housekeeper to make sure it was accurate (meaning it could have been erroneous accusation). Leah stated she was holding the ash from our room in her hand, I asked where she found it and if it could have been overlooked from the last cleaning, or maybe it wasn't 'ash' at all. Leah would not indicate any further information about this so called ""evidence."" They stated they had to close our room down because the stench and the charges will remain. I am so beyond upset about this charge, the only thing my husband and I could think of was maybe we stunk like smoke from being at the casino for so long? Neither of us are smokers so this is a baffling experience for us, and cannot believe we could be so disrespected by a hotel on our wedding night. I will NEVER EVER stay at a Best Western again. I went to talk to Leah about it in person (wanted to see the evidence, that she refused to show me!!! She said it was hotel policy not to show the customer evidence, asked to see this policy in writing, which she could not show me either, which leads me to believe this ""ash"" was not even real in the first place) To top this all off, when I was walking out the door the receptionist and Leah began laughing at me and my situation. It's absolutely not funny to laugh at someone who has been charged nearly $300.00 for something they did not do. I personally have never been treated with such disrespect, no one ever tried to fix the situation or believe me for even a second!! The entire hotel smells dingy, not just the room we stayed in, which prior to us even settling in had a funky smell to it. It's very sad that in this case it was our word against there housekeepers word, and we are guilty until proven innocent. I will be fighting this charge with my bank, I will be pursing this until we see justice, and I hope that Leah loses her job for disrespecting customers and laughing at them while they walk away. Doesn't sound like Best Westerns customer care policy to me. I will be spreading this around in every way possible so this doesn't happen to any other innocent couples!
