Pasta Bella is a diamond in the rough, its in the Nob Hill shopping center, near round table. The atmosphere is friendly warm and Italian. On Wednesdays the soup of the day is cream of zucchini, many members of my staff go in just for the soup. I also recommend the seafood dishes, all of them are wonderful.

Le Gateau Elegant is a great little bakery located in the shopping area in downtown Martinez. They have limited parking on the streets which have meters. They have an elegant storefront display showing off the artistic talents of the baker. We ordered our wedding cake from this place and they delivered it to our reception. I was very happy with the design and the cake was delicious.

The advantage to this small and out of the way boeling alley is that they have some VERY cheap prices. Call for more information, but 2 or 3 times a week they offer some very good day time discounts. however this place is very dirty. not just old-dirty but un-kept dirty. also, the people working there are very fickle with their service. the person in line before me might be treated with smiles but all i get rudeness and mean looks. its been like that every time. i dont think they like younger crowds. they have been very rude to many of my friends as well. also since the place is so small, if there is a league in there theres no chance of you actually getting a lane in there.

We tried Mangia Bene after a 10 year hiatus. Neither of us remembered disliking the place - but it didn't leave a strong impression the first time around. Man, were we surprised. My husband had filet mignon with a port-cocoa-espresso rub. It was tender, juicy, and the flavors of chocolate and coffee were a perfect compliment to the meat. I had mushroom risotto with truffle oil. The rice was perfect, creamy and rich with mushroomy goodness. Don't be fooled by the strip-mall location. And know that this restaurant is mis-categorized. You can (and should) eat in. Otherwise you'll miss the groovy mid-century Italian American singers like Dean Martin and Tony Bennett playing in the background.

My family and I could never say enough about the great service we have all received from Hope at Amore for Hair Salon. From the small town service to the big city styles and colors we have never had ANY` problems or complaints. The small town Love Hope gave to me when I was going through Cancer, making sure my hair ( and spirit ) was cared for, to the point of inviting me to the salon for a pick me up wash, to the big city lights of hair extensions until my natural hair grew out. At 48 I've been to many salons, I started going to Amore 5 years ago, and I and my family don't ever see us moving to another Salon. Maria B

Cue & Brew is located in Martinez close to the Wal Mart. They have plenty of parking spaces and its not that hard to find the place. I’ve been here a lot because I went to school close by and my buddy worked at the Wal Mart. Service is ok and the tables are ok too. They have 8 regulation tables and 2 bar tables. They also have other forms of entertainment like darts, video games, and a big screen T.V.
