I was here recently for my first time visting Killington and this place is so cute. It's great for families. They have a pool, hot tub, cozy fireplaces, board games etc. I believe a bus comes to pick you up to take you to the ski resort. They have "cookie/tea" time from 4-6P for free (delicious...it totally hits the spot). There's a restaurant inside that decorated very much like an old living room with living room armchairs and the food is good. In the mornings there is a buffet breakfast with all kinds of foods (it gets busy!..lots of skiers are up getting their bites). The rooms are very adequate and minimal, don't expect to be dazzled-they fit their means. It's great!..book your stay here :D
Pros: Cookie Time, Buffet Breakfast, Atmosphere, Staff etc.
Cons: Not Modern (but then again it's a homey lodge)

Just came back from a weekend of riding out in Killington. It's kind of warm but there were plenty of trails to choose from and the conditions were pretty good. This time of year, you can't ask for more. It's slushy in some places but at the top, you don't even notice the difference if you went during the dead of winter. All the different peaks allow for different levels of skiing/riding and there are loooooooong wide trails so you can come down and enjoy the nice ride. It's one of the best resorts for the facilities and mountain terrain but also for the great restaurants nearby and nightlife. We had an awesome time and will definitely go back again next year.

Pricey hotel but worth the extra money to be right at the mountain. The rooms were great. The one we stayed in accommodated six people and had a kitchen for those quick breakfasts before hitting the slopes. Rooms were not decorated in a grand hotel fashion. They were more plain and tasteful. This is truly about the location.

I was a waiter at this restaurant for 7 years and I know how excellent it is. From your review I can tell three things:
You did not read the menu. Peppinos vodka sauce is exce.llent, probably the best most people have ever had. Just because you are from NYC doesnt excuse you from reading the menu and expecting it to be just like some other restaurant you ate at.. Also, vodka sauce is NOT on the kids menu, so as a waiter he or she did you a fovor bringing it for a kid. The fact is in your review you state your kid threw a fit over his spicy sauce- probably the main reason no one went out of their way for you. After twent five years I think these folks can pretty much decide who they are and are not going to cater too. My guess is you were deemed expendable, and from your review I can tell you think it all someone elses fault. Control your own kids and READ THE MENU. Adding that your friends enjolyed their meal "but were just being polite" is icing on the cake for your sour grapes- they either did or didnt, and you are speculating just to make a point. Try Mcd's nect time its right down the street...

This is gourmet dining in the casual. Since it's a ski town more casual dress is permitted and it is really comfortable here. The food is fairly expensive but not overly expensive for gourmet dining. I had their filet of red snapper that had grilled shrimp on top with this amazing risotto. My husband had the duck with I think blood oranges. It was excellent. Chocolate mousse cake is a must.

It was my first time in Killington and I hear this place was somewhat new. It was packed and bustling with skiers at the bar enjoying their cocktails. It's a busy place and their will be a wait, but it's worth it. The crowd is friendly and entertaining. When you do get called, it's like the "Price is Right" and everybody cheers for you when you get seated (it's fun). You must get the garlic bread which is served in a unique manner with the actual garlic (hard to explain), but get it (tasty). I can't recall my dinner, but I wasn't disappointed. The place is decorated with garlic cloves. It doesn't smell like it, so have no fear. It's a fun place to eat after hitting the slopes.
Pros: Atmosphere, Garlic Bread and Fast Bartenders
Cons: A wait to be seated, but worth it

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Inn. We both enjoyed a romantic ski weekend away without the kids. We enjoyed our view and loved the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The Inn is located on Killington access road but it sits back from the road so that you do not hear the traffic. Morning breakfast was very good and we both enjoyed excellent dinner their as well. The inn also has a small bar so that you may share adventures with the other guests. Plus, it is a very short driving (~ 2 minute) distance from the slopes of Killington. So, if you choose to go out for the evening many restaurants and shops are a close walking distance from the Inn. Over the years we have stayed at many lodges in this area. This experience has been the best.
Pros: Close to slopes, Two person bath in Rm, Gas fireplace

More
After a day on the slopes this is a great place to get a big dinner downstairs or have a few drinks on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Steaks, ribs, seafood with bread, soup and salad bar is in the $15-$25 range. The atmosphere is excellent in both the bar and resturant and the service is very good. If you eat dinner before heading upstairs you'll get free cover for the bar/band. A definte hot-spot.
