My husband and I purchased a 2006 Dodge Durango yesterday and would like to share our experience with you. There were several listings online that we were interested - at four different dealerships all over the island.
We set out at 9:00. This dealership, known for its "great sales", was not very helpful. We had a great car to trade in, but this particular dealership only wanted to give us half of what Kelly Blue Book said was a fair trade in price. We refused their deal and wasted 2 hours of our time. We then decided to check on the Durango.
Although Honda Windward was the third dealership we visited, we know now it should have been the first any only. When we were checking online advertisements we came across an 06 Dodge Durango Limited with low miles. This was exactly what we were looking for. The Honda Windward website was easy to use and hand this handy "Make an Offer" button, so we did. We received an email response from Bob Laudick quickly after we sent in our offer. We spoke a little after lunch and we were on our way to see the Durange. Once there, we were greeted coming in the lot, given direction on where to park, and sent inside to speak with the internet manager, Bob.
We took the Durango for a test drive through a residential area, down Kam Highway and onto the freeway, so we could better judge the handling and performance of the vehicle. Bob made sure we both drove the vehicle. After driving it, we knew it was the one we wanted to purchase. Unlike the "great sales" dealership, Honda Windward was willing to give us fair value for our trade. They also gave us a great deal on the Durango.
Once the numbers were settled, we went to see Louie Hecht in finance. Although we had already secured finance the night before, Louie was informative and helped us choose the right warranty for us.
Before we left the dealership I told Bob that I would definitely be telling everyone I know that Honda Windward was the best dealership on the island.
Thanks Bob Laudick and Honda Windward!

Open 7 days 10:30am-9:00pm
A friend took me here and I've been back several times with other friends. Ingredients are of the highest quality, unlike most Chinese restaurants. The food comes rather quickly considering what you get; the portions are large and there is a huge selection. They have also seemed ok with ordering some things not on the menu, like general tso's chicken. Just be sure to tip nicely if you do and make sure it's not during a rush (as with any restaurant). Service can be a bit slow sometimes but it's no big deal unless you're in a big hurry. My wife, who doesn't usually like Chinese food, really likes this place too, but that's not to say the food is TOO Americanized.
Pros: Ample seating for large groups, high quality ingredients, large selection
Cons: typical hawaii parking

The owner of the company called me immediately and worked around my work schedule that day to have a plumber come out and fix the problem. The plumber he sent was extremely courteous, professional, and knowledgable. Because of the difficulty of the problem and him having to arrive close to the end of his day to accomodate my schedule, the plumber happily worked into the evening until he was sure that the problem was fixed. I feel that the plumber and the company itself went well above and beyond what was expected of them. I will never hesitate to call them and highly recommend them to everyone!

This is a fun place to spend a Saturday afternoon with the family. It's a mini golf course that operates under black lights. It's spacious and air-conditioned -- more pluses!
I took my daughter here for her birthday and she enjoyed it. She loved getting her own glow-in-the-dark color bracelet and putting her golf ball in the "ball chargers" that illuminate the balls. The 18-hole course was a little challenging for our beginning golfers but they had fun -- the whole purpose anyway.

I don’t golf. So why am I reviewing a golf course? Actually, I’m not. The BayView Golf Park – in addition to its 60-par, 18-hole course – has a very nice mini-golf course. The course is fully landscaped, with running waterfalls, numerous traps, multi-level holes, and even secret tunnels that force you to throw strategy in the air and just hope for the best. It’s a fun way to spend a couple of hours with friends or family, and the adjoining facility is great for parties.

I didn't know what to think of this place when we first walked in. I was craving Mexican it was open and it was close by. The interior was well small, much too bright (as with most hawaii restaurants) and colorful. We sat right away and was greeted with the standard affair of chips and salsa. Already I knew after the freshly made chips and very fresh salsa that this place took the FOOD seriously. I ordered what I normally order at mexican restaurants the carnitas plate. I politely asked the waitress if it comes a little crispy. She replied plesantly and told me they could make it as crispy as I would like. I usually like my carnitas soft and tender on the inside and crisp on the out. She said no problem. When she returned I took my first bite and almost lost a finger. I also asked for some hot sauce. The waitress responded" do you want the one THEY make?" Eager to try it I said yes! Well if you like hot sauce, do not, i mean do not miss it. It puts the kind that come out of a bottle to little use. Go there try it, have the carnitas, watch your fingers!
Pros: food food food
Cons: eh its a mexican hole in the wall...not the palace!

I grew up in Kaneohe, HI and my family dined at Koa Pancake House regularly. In spite of frequent visits to the restaurant, I could never get enough of it. Now grown up and living in Portland, OR, I find myself craving the breakfast menu all the time. Trips home to visit the folks are never complete without breakfast at Koa Pancake House. The homemade Vinha D'Alhos & eggs and Scottish Bangers & eggs have been my favories since I was child. The service is very friendly and I the food is perfect. Koa Pancake House offers classic Hawaiian breakfasts such as spam or vienna sausage and eggs w/rice too. This is good old "local" comfort food at it's best.
Pros: Everything - I cannot say enough good things about the food and service!
Cons: Long wait on weekends due to popularity and limited parking lot, but there is plenty of parking on the side streets.

The sushi here is awesome for anyone on the go. The best part is that its easy and that the way they packgae it keeps if fresh until you get it to wherever you need to go. My firends and I would sneak in sushi into movie theatres beause its so small and compact. We'd buy the such from kozo throw it into our bags and eat it during the movie. Thats the best way to eat sushi.
Also, they have all different kinds of roles so there is something for everyone. One role is usually a $1.05 or $2 depending on the role and is very good. They also cater, but I believe their catering prices are somewhat high compared to that of other sushi places.

Kin Wah is located in a small strip mall off of Kamehameha Highway in Kaneohe. The interior is nothing fancy; just your typical Chinese restaurant with booths for small groups and larger round tables for bigger groups (with the ubiquitous rotating platform in the middle to make it easy to share).
My favorite dishes are the crispy duck on bun (with plum sauce) and any of the sizzling platters. Portions are generous; our rule-of-thumb is one dish per person, including soup if you order it.
The parking area is small and the stalls are narrow. You may be better off parking on the street, especially during peak dinner hours.
