Keifer's is absolutely the best casual place to go for dinner or lunch. It is Greek-based food, and absolutely delicious. Try the pita motz definately and any of their wraps, but be sure their feta dressing comes on it: this dressing is amazing. You can even order the dressing alone to take home with you, and it's worth it. Another good side (if you want more than the pita motz) is their cottage fries. The prices are more than reasonable, and it tastes great. You can eat inside or outside. I don't live in Jackson anymore, but whenever I visit, I make sure I get to eat at Kiefer's at least once: it's that good.

Keifer's on State Street is the best restaurant in Jackson for several reasons:
1. Delicious food. The food there is typical Greek food - gyros, hummus, etc. - and it is consistently delicious.
2. Atmosphere. No other place in Jackson, with the exception of Fenian's, can match Keifer's unique atmosphere. Inside is dark and worn, but it's the outside that's so fantastic. It like sitting in a bungalow, and the view overlooks State street. It's one of the only places downtown you can go at night and really feel safe.
3. It's cheap. Dinner for one should never be more than $10, and prices for dates usually never go over $30. The cost to quality ratio beats any place in Jackson.
Go there. A lot.

WaveLengths is a upper end beauty salon in North Jackson. The owner is amazing and has an outstanding staff. They are very expensive, but they can work wonders.A good cut from Wave Lengths might last me 8 weeks versus getting a haircut at a cheaper place that has lost it's shape in 3 weeks. They also offer all kinds of things like massages, makeup, hair products, etc. They have outstanding customer service and you will leave happy every time. They do wonderful cuts and foils and specialty treatments.

There isn't too much to say that's negative about Bravo Italian. I have always had great meals and experiences here on the catering side. The company I work for usually orders from this restaurant on certain occasions. The sandwichs are hugh and very very filling. Not to mention a vegetarian sandwich that I'm told tastes like steak!
The green leaf salad is also superb. All in all, it's a good experience, about a level above any other cold sandwich food joint.

Bonsai is incredible! This is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is cooked on a grill at your table and the show is so entertaining. The cooks have always been great with our daughter and give her special attention, and I've noticed they do the same with other children also. The food is incredible! The fried rice is out of this world and the rest of the meal is great, also. It is a little expensive, costing around $38 for two entrees and two drinks, but WELL worth the price. A word of advice...get there early, especially on Saturday, or you're in for a long wait!
