The previous posts were so wrong! This place is great. Adrian, Brian, and Chef Michael were great. The food was GREAT! The wine special at happy hour was the best. IF YOU DO NOT HERE, YOU MISSED THE BEST IN HOLLYWOOD DINING! more

We were guaranteed a particular table when we made our reservation only to find out that when we arrived our table was used to accommodate someone else. This was very disappointing but not as disappointing as when the bill arrived. The price was outrageous for the quality of the food we had. We will never return to this restaurant. more

I live down the street from Lola's and dine there once every couple of weeks on average. It's the ultimate local foodie place. Great location, classy but generally nondescript decor, fairly well-heeled crowd given the neighborhood, menu is standard new american with occasional surprises thrown in, and probably most important, this is one of the very few places in the neighborhood sophisticated enough to have a very strong vegetarian alternative menu that is much more than an afterthought. Price point is on the middle high end for dinner but the place oozes quality so I don't mind. more

Wonderful date night! We finished the meal and could have done it all over again! The portabello tacos and salmon tartar were amazing. Normally I'm not big on veal but I ordered the "Oscar", it was delicious and the hollandaise was perfect. We couldn't decide between the Raspberry cheesecake and the molten chocolate. So we got both. Can't wait to got back! more

Greeted on arrival and seated. Nice feel to the room. Server was informed on the menu and provided good service. Had the short rib and polenta starter and the mussells for starter. Both were great. Husband had the skirt steak for entree- delicious. Served with a homemade ketchup/bbq sauce. tasty. I had the Coca Cola BBQ beef ribs as many suggest. A little to sauce and sweet for me but still good. The potatoes that came with the skirt steak were delicious. Lyonaise maybe? Would for sure return. 2 starters, 2 entrees, bottle of wine was about $115 plus tip. Will be going back soon. Cheers! more

My name is Heather Keenly and I am the General Manager here at Lola's on harrison. I first want to say thank you to all those who take the time to write reviews- both good and bad as they continue to help us grow and be successful. I would like to say that if there is ever a time where we do not meet your expectation- please ask for a manager and we will gladly accommodate you to the best of our ability. We work very hard to put out the best products we can- and if we miss a beat- we will do our best to fix it. I would like to address the review titled Lola's Shmola's in which the reviewer tells a story of worms on oysters. Since we do not serve oysters here, nor did I as the manager ever have a conversation with any guest regarding the issues mentioned- that perhaps there was a confusion as to the restaurant being described because it could not have been Lola's. We do not serve oysters, and are not known for them either. We are known for our BBQ Ribs- and craft beers. I would suggest that the reviewer double check his facts and correct the error. Thank you again for all your feedback and support. Yours, Heather Keenly more

This place is known for their raw oysters which ended up in catastrophe. Found a worm- alive and swimming in one, when we decided to inform staff, they were less than gracious. The manager refused to owning up to this being a "turn-off", began arguing with our table, and in turn verbally assaulted my family, threatening physical harm just before exiting the establishment. Suffice to say, not hospitable. more

Awesome incredible ribs! Ok, disclaimer here...I'm partial to pork ribs, NOT beef ribs. However, a bar nearby told me to try out Lolas and have the ribs. I was a little suspicious, but I decided to try the ribs anyway. The owner suggested a good beer pairing to go along with the ribs, and she was right. I had a great time, and it's been the best meal I've had in Hollywood, Florida. more

My husband and I are in town with his work for a few days, and someone at our hotel recommended that we try Lola's. We are SO GLAD we did!!! DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!! We tried everything that our server (Warren, who was fantastic) suggested from the Almond-baked Brie appetizer to the BBQ ribs and strawberry-mango pie, along with some great new wheat ales thhat we hadn't tried before. We are from Mississippi and have some of the greatest soul food/bbq/home cooking places around, and these ribs were BY FAR the best both of us had ever had. We are even thinking about going back tomorrow night again!!! Not only is the food out of this world, the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed while remaining classy and the staff there are friendly and know their stuff. RUN RUN RUN TO LOLA's!!! more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 2/27/2010

Lola's does not get the attention it deserved. The food is finer than any establishment in many miles. The chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America and worked at some of the finest restaurants. Service is professional and excellent. The Manager is on top of everything. If more people knew about it and tried it they would be impressed. From the fresh Maine Lobster roll to many inventive meat and fish dishes, and an excellent wine and craft beer list you need to give this a try. more

Save you time and money--avoid Lola's 2/15/2010

Decided to spend a nice Valentine's Day evening at a place with great reviews. We found the Valentine's Day menu overpriced. They offered a shorten regular menu for $49 or a special Valentine' Day menu for $65; included in both was choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. The goat cheese salad was good but had too much dressing, the potato skins (3 small halves of round purple potatoes) were good once the kitchen got the order correct, the ricotta gnocchi were missing any hint that ricotta was even added to the dough, the steak was good, can't tell you about the dessert as after waiting 30 minutes (the kitchen required that we placed the order for the dessert at the same time as the appetizer and entree) we decide to cancel it. Although the manager did apologize and give a discount, we will not return to Lola's. Cons: too much ($), too little (service) more

Went there last night and had dinner at the bar. Lovely atmosphere, great and knowledgeable bartender/server. Innovative starters were yummy, a very nice menu -- the Coca Cola beef ribs are fabulous, and my ruby red trout was perfectly cooked. I subbed the salad that is' normally served with for some delicious broccolini. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. We had two apps, 3 cocktails, a glass of wine and 2 dinners for $100. We'll be back soon! more

I really love this restaurant! The nachos are small but the perfect starter and the veal is to die for! Love the service especially our waiter Aaron who was excellent. more

I had the pleasure of bringing a food critic, my mother, to dinner at Lola's. We had a wonderful meal, with great service and atmosphere. We shared our appetizers and entrees so that we could sample several dishes. They were delicious. My mother and I look forward to another visit very soon. more

Love the food at this beautiful restaurant 10/5/2009

The Coca Cola ribs are fabulous and what a presentation! My partner really enjoyed the Trout. One of the best he ever had. We have been to the restaurant so many times and always have a wonderful time. The service is attentive and the drinks that are created by the bartender are always a wonderful surprise. Can't wait to go back Pros: Best Ribs I have ever had!! more

A favorite! 2/2/2009

My good friend recommended Lola's to me and told me I must go! A very comfortable restaurant with style. The food was amazing. Really creative presentation of food by the chef. Very nice service. For what I experienced overall, I would have expected to pay a bit more. Great place. Pros: Extremely good food, great menu, nice wine list. Cons: Although the service was fine, please smile Mr. Waiter. more

Great Beer Selection- Best Service in South Florida 12/10/2008

On a recent trip to Hollywood, I had to bring 17 of my fellow business associates out to entertain. The hotel concierge highly recommended this place and so I gave it a try. WOW! The service was unbelievably attentive. The chef is very talented and personable. He came to greet us at the table and ask us how our meal went. We tried their family style service as recommended by the manager and it was the perfect social setting for our group. I can't stop dreaming about the coca cola bbq ribs- they are to die for- and I also recommend exploring their unique beer selection. The two beer gurus their are the FEMALE managers who hail from the north and can guide you through a tasting based on your preferences. They have beer with very high percentages- some even up to 10% alcohol. The group was very pleased, and so was I. It was an important dinner and the staff really went out of their way to be sure that it was perfect. I will definitely be returning. Pros: Food, Free Parking, Service Cons: No Private Room more
