Why on earth would someone pay these prices for kids stuff? Look on Craig's List or a consignment shop. The items at this store are so overpriced and beautiful that it is tempting for a new parent to go crazy here. But, this was the only store that carried the chair that I wanted to have in my daughter's nursery. Make sure you check out the local newspapers for their coupons AND make sure you check out their clearance room. more

This store is definitely worth the trip. Occasionally they even run a coupon in one of the advertisement mags that come to your home. They have plenty of cribs, dressers and changing tables to choose from as well as a great selection of gliders. The furniture is all very good quality and the prices reflected this. If you are looking for a bargain, you aren’t likely to find one. The store also has higher end strollers brands as well as other baby gear. There is a smaller section of the store dedicated to older kids furniture and a small section of clothing. more

Everything you need for baby's room! 8/5/2005

Great Beginnings has the best selection of nursery and children's furniture in the DC area! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff... but visit and order furniture early, as orders can take months! Also has a wide selection of other baby gear... a great place to compare car seats, try out gliders, and test drive strollers. Definitely worth the trip! more
