Lotawata Creek is a great place to grab a bite to eat after work and on the weekend. The portion sizes are enormous and the food is full of rich flavor. The servers are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere and decor reflects that of the south. If you leave this place hungry, it's your own problem! The only drawback is that wait times can be extremely long during peak times. A sign I recently saw on their door states that parties larger than 10 are no longer taken on a Friday or Saturday night.

Okay, so I'm biased, my future father and mother-in-law own the place. BUT..that aside..Sheridan's didn't get to be biggest and best in KC by not being good. Fortunately, St. Louis can how enjoy the tasty goodness that is Sheridan's. More toppings than you can shake a stick at, the management and staff are super friendly, and the car cruise and motorcycle showcase nights are alot of fun. Fairview Hts hasn't had much claim to fame (other than the mall) for a long time, and I think Eastsiders are pretty happy to have something new to brag about!!

This place has every possible fabric you could imagine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a ton of fabrics to select from and several other tools of the trade that you would need. They will answer any questions you might possibly have about any project you are working on. Excellent all around.

Centerfield Park offers batting cages, 36 holes of miniature golf, mini Nas-karts, full size Nas-karts and bumper boats. There is an arcade and concession area as well as picnic pavilions with barbecue pits. The park is lighted well for evening outings. Prices are reasonable but check the phone book and mailings for coupons to make it even more inexpensive for a family outing.

The prime rib sandwich is the best I've ever had. It is moderately priced but the quality and quantity of food makes it a great value. I haven't eaten anything there I didn't like. Getting hungry thinking about it, I think I'll go there now.
Pros: Food, Food, Food, and did I mention Food
Cons: Fri and Sat dinner can incur a long wait to be seated

St. Louis had their first taste of original Mexican food in 1975 when Casa Gallardo Mexican Restaurant opened and started St. Louis raving about the wonderful taste of Mexican cuisine. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant to enjoy real authentic Mexican cuisine with a Grande House Margarita. Casa Gallardo has several locations in the St. Louis area, which includes the location I visit, located at 6600 N. Illinois Street in Fairview Heights, Illinois right off I-64.
The menu is loaded with specialties of fajitas that come sizzling to your table, macho burritos, tacos, carnitas, outrageous chimichanga, and of course my favorite the enchilada rancheros. The entrées are served with rice and beans, loads of chips and salsa, and the most delicious sweet corn cake you have ever tasted. The best way to start my dinner is by ordering the fresh guacamole made right at the table. I love this dip with the great fresh chips, and luscious margarita. The prices are very reasonable starting at $7.99. You have to save room for the flan which is custard dessert served with a delicious Carmel sauce.
The hostess and servers greet you with pleasant smiles, wanting to accommodate your every need to make your dining experience unforgettable. I brought my designer wedding gown in for alterations. This after looking at 4 other alteration places around town. 2 stated specifically that they altered wedding dresses. One was very expensive,(also a national wedding dress chain). Another was comparable in price but was also a dress boutique and I was unsure of their ability to work with the intricate fabric that my dress was made of. The 3rd was run by a smoker, no way. The 4th had a, for rent sign in the window, I didn't want to run the risk of leaving my dress and then having them close shop with my dress inside.
I checked out Willard's and right away I liked what I saw. They are a real professional shop. I read the reviews online. There are 3 positive ones and one negative there. So I decided to go take a look for myself. They have 3 seamstresses. They have a dressing room for you to change in and a 3 way mirror to check things out.
The seamstress wasn't sure about the best way to take in the back of my designer gown so the owner came out and did the pinning herself. I told her I wanted a bustle and she showed me a double bustle and I loved it. She noticed that there was a string where some of the beads had come off the dress and they restrung them for me without charge. I thought they would just remove the string but when the dress came back the packet of beads were opened and the beads were restrung.
I brought my dress in on Monday afternoon and it was finished on Thursday afternoon. My dress is made of a delicate lace with heavy beadwork with different colored and shaped beads,in a flower and leaf pattern over the entire dress. Their work was seamless. My dress fit me perfectly in the front but was very large in the back and they fixed this.
The price for the alteration was less than 1/4 of what the national chain wanted.
I highly recommend Willard's for the most complicated jobs. I will be bringing all of my alterations there from now on.
Pros: Worked on fabric with intricate beadwork all over it.
Cons: I didn't see any.

this is a nice place to go bowling! they have a big gameroom for the kids to enjoy, while the adults bowl. they have alot of nice lanes, so you can just walk in and play. the games are very reasonable in price. i love to bowl, but not very good at it, but i have fun.

I do enjoy shopping at Kohls when they have sales and shopping for the clearance items. Their merchandise seems to be better quality than that of Kmart or Walmart. The lines can be quite long especially around the holidays. You usually can find just the right gift here for birthdays and holidays and quite often those items are on sale.
