My favorite Thai in Davis 3/25/2006

Out of all the Thai restaurants in Davis, Thai Bistro is my favorite. The seating indoors is relatively small, but on nice days there is a good-sized patio for al fresco dining. The portions are neither small nor large, but the food is of good value. I like the atmosphere of Thai Bistro as well, because it has a more upscale decor than that of Sophie's. Finally, the food is great. more

Great service 9/22/2005

Thai Bistro is a good place to eat and offers a good variety of food. I feel that Thai Bistro, 2k Thai and Sophia's are pretty similar in quality. I don't know about Thai Bistro's lunch menu cause i have only been there for dinner. The price for dinner are reasonable and the dishes are more than enough to fill you up. My friend ordered a soup and she really liked it and i order either the Pad Thai or The Spinach with chicken and peanut sauce. They put a lot of peanut sauce on it so you might want to ask for it on the side. Also the fried banana with ice cream desert is great and definately worth saving some room for! more

Great Bargain, Great Service 9/16/2005

This place is great. The prices for the food here are extremely reasonable (excellent bargain). When my friend asked me where I wanted to eat, I had told her that I wanted to go somewhere cheap. This was the place that she brought me to, and boy were the prices great. Not only were the prices good, but so were the food items. Their noodle dishes, rice dishes, and curries are the usual kinds that you can find at other thai restaurants (such as Pad Thai and Yellow Curry), but it is the price and good flavor that makes this restaurant stand out. The restaurant itself is not nice looking, but looks are deceiving. Once you sit down, you are greeted by friendly waiters or waitresses. more

I really enjoyed my meals at this restaurant. Food is delicious and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. Although, Sophia's does give it tough competition I'd prefer this place because it's quieter and a bit more classier. more

Classy Thai 8/18/2005

This place has a feel upscale feel. They don't carry many of the ethnic decorations that I could see, but they certainly carried it in for the food. The food was absolutely delicious. I got a huge dish for under $10, including a drink. This was the lunch menu, I hear that during the dinner rush, the prices go up at a higher rate than the dinner serving, but it's a great place for a date. Like I said, they focused on making it a bistro versus a restaurant. Service was great though, I got my food with little wait. They also have the option of eating outside on the patio. more

Thai Bistro locates on 234 E st. downtown at Davis. A lot of Thai food can be selected. It is close to UCD campus, but I don't like it very much. Compared with other Thai restraurents, it is not as good as Sophies's Thai Kitchen. If you really want to eat Thai food, pls go to Sophies. more
