Henson Contracting recently remodeled my kitchen...new custom made cabinets, granite countertops, new tile floors. I love my new kitchen. The quality of the work is fantastic. And so is the service. I had one small problem with a lazy susan (that was not a custom made piece but a pre-ordered one) and Cregg was at my house that very week to fix it. There were several reasons that factored into my decision to use Henson Contracting. 1. The price - I got better materials at a much better price than what other contractors bid. 2. The fact that Henson Contracting did the work themselves...other than an electrician, Henson Contracting did all the work themselves (installing cabinets, flooring, trim work, painting, plumbing) and did not sub-contract the job to other workers. This meant they were on the site the entire time. I have other projects that I would like to do in the future and I will have Henson Contracting do the work for me.

Rainbow Lanes is a fun place to take your family. There is no smoking. Besides bowling, there is a large game room with video games, token kiddie rides, a big climbing structure with slide, skee ball and the Himalaya (a ride that spins you round and round while sitting in a seat with another person). There are several private party rooms. They offer birthday packages that are reasonably priced.

For anyone in Clayton, Skylines offers a very creative and solid menu so we no longer have to drive 25 miles to have a nice dining experience. We visited last Friday with out 6 year old son and it was a very nice evening. I had a ribeye that was very flavorful and later found out they are aged over 20 days. You won't find that in any restaurant in Raleigh except Flemings or Ruth's Chris.
Small but focused wine list at great prices.
Pros: Downtown Raleigh menu at Clayton prices

Outstanding value. Great service, great food, great prices. Went there tonight for my birthday. We were in a hurry as our son was very tired, we got in, got seated right away, got great food, the price was excellent (less than $30 for the 3 of us, including a beer and 2 sodas) and the food was delicious. Highly recommended. Try the steak fajitas. We will definitely be back. My wife can't stand mexican food and SHE loved it and my son is very finicky and they had 'regular' kids food and he liked it.
Pros: food, service, price, portions
Cons: if you are looking for ambience, keep looking, not that kind of place.

Color me biased, but I find Smithfield's to be the best anywhere, the BBQ to which all others are compared against...and their chicken?...big chickens indeed....fixens?.... mmmmmmmm.... their beans are bottom of barrel (best as they get) with their BBQ pork replacing the usual hunk of lard usually found in other places beans... don't take my word for it...get your backside to smithfield's and try to prove me wrong :)

If you choose the Wagner House for your wedding or reception, you will be very pleased at the beauty, size and decorations of this historic house. There is plenty of room for eating, dancing and mingling. I used Brenda to cater my wedding at another site and was happy with the quality and price of the food. She and her staff were very efficient and organized and I didn't worry about anything!

I have always had positive experiences with Robinson Animal Hospital in Clayton. The front desk staff is friendly and warm; the doctors are fabulous. My dog is excited about going in - even when he has to have something unpleasant like shots. I highly recommend them. I've heard people say their prices are too high, but they are no higher in my opinion than many others out there.
Pros: Everything - great people there!
Cons: None so far!
