My 4-year-old and I stopped here when Remlinger was closed during the week. So glad we did: I'll always come here first from now on. $1/lb for perfect berries and there were lots of them. Plus--at least on July 12th--there was construction going on at the neighboring property and they had a crane going that kept my little boy mesmerized while I raked in 16 pounds of berries. Can't wait to come back for the raspberries! more

Harvolds was perfect July 6, 2011 7/7/2011

Took the 45 minute drive from Kent to Harvolds. Saw the sign for Remlingers and was tempted to stop, but was glad we drove the exta mile to Harvold's small farm. Berries were pretty ripe, with some sour and some sweet. Small berries, with sweeter, larger berries on the sun facing sides. $1 a lb can't be beat- took us 45 minutes to pick 10lbs, and the kids had a blast especially when they saw the two young deer wander through the patch. Porta potty was out of TP though =( more

better berries than remlinger's 7/28/2010

I went to Remlinger's for raspberries last week and Harvold's this week. Harvold's had far more ripe berries, and they had a system of which rows were ripening, which had been picked over, and which were prime for picking. We picked double the pounds of berries there in half the time. At Remlinger's they just turn you loose into a huuuuuuuge field, and it's difficult to find areas that aren't picked over. more

Yummm berries 6/23/2010

We started to go to Harvold's when the kids were little - now they are grown and going on their own, my mother even comes up from Kansas every year hoping it is picking season! The strawberries are better than anything you will get in the store, reasonably priced and the people friendly. I would recommend it highly. more

Remlinger's is fun but Harvold's berries are best 5/29/2010

Harvold's berries are bigger and cheaper and have much more flavor. I have been going there for years. For several years now I always go to Remlinger Farms to taste and price their fruit and shop their store and have a little fun, then I always go to Harvold Farms to pick my berries. more

Always good-always friendly 6/24/2009

One of the best prices in the area and the berries are as good as anywhere else without the commercialism of some places. I have picked here for over 10 yrs and have always been happy with the strawberry pies and Jams that come from the mornings picking. Some years are better than others (2008-not so good) so call and ask. more

Love Harvold's 7/12/2007

It is my summer tradition, too, to go to Harvold's in June for strawberries and July for raspberries. Great prices, friendly people, and each year they will send you a postcard telling you when strawberries will be ready to go. Gorge on the fresh fruit then make jams and jellies and freeze some for reminders in the dead of winter that summer will come again. more

Strawberries and Raspberries 6/13/2007

Every year I make my way out to Carnation for the best berries in the area. Harvold berries are always high quality and delicious. The people are friendly, the berries affordable, and the scene is beautiful. The berries are so sweet you don't even need to add sugar. It's a great place to take kids or go out with a group of friends. more

Good Pickin's 3/23/2006

This is a summer time tradition for our family. We make it out to Harvold farms at least twice--once for the strawberries in June, and once for the raspberries in July. It's fun for the kids to pick berries, and the fruit is always high quality. We bring a huge box of berries home, eat 'em fresh and my wife turns the rest into jam. You've got to remember to check for the strawberries in early to mid June. It never seems like summer this early in the month because school is still in, but if you wait until school's out, the good berries will be gone. Also, if you fill out a postcard at the cashier's window, they'll mail it to you the next year and let you know when it's time to start pickin'! more

U-pick berries in the Snoqualmie Valley 8/17/2005

Every year the sun shines for a few days in Western Washington and makes the raspberries at Harvold's Berry Farm big and tasty. Unless you're already in the lower Snoqualmie Valley it's a bit of a pain to get there (probably best to drive east on I-90 to Preston, then drive through Fall City to the north end of Carnation), but when you see the vines you realize it was well worth it. Even in a year with little rain the berries were in great shape. In just under an hour and a half four adults and one kid picked almost 20 pounds of raspberries, which Harvold's charges about a buck a pound for. Eat them fresh (after paying, of course) or can them in sugar water or as jam and you'll be happy you made the effort. more
