This is a summer time tradition for our family. We make it out to Harvold farms at least twice--once for the strawberries in June, and once for the raspberries in July. It's fun for the kids to pick berries, and the fruit is always high quality. We bring a huge box of berries home, eat 'em fresh and my wife turns the rest into jam. You've got to remember to check for the strawberries in early to mid June. It never seems like summer this early in the month because school is still in, but if you wait until school's out, the good berries will be gone. Also, if you fill out a postcard at the cashier's window, they'll mail it to you the next year and let you know when it's time to start pickin'!
