Elegant food, but also affordable. You can go for a pricey option or they have an 'early bird special' type of thing before 7pm (I believe) which is $12 and includes salad or soup and entree.
Also has gift certificates for $25.00 on restaurant.com which you can buy for half price. What a deal!
A wonderful choice with great food and a charming atmosphere.

The Brookfield Playhouse, located right behind the Brookfield Library is a great local place to see plays. While they aren't Broadway quality, they are cute, entertaining and a great way to spend an evening out of the house.
The actors are local, which is also nice - when you see a friend or neighbor in one of the plays.
It is a small theater, so all seats are good.

Always get a second estimate before getting work done at Firestone. I always get my oil changes done there and they always happen to find something seriously wrong with my car that "would best be fixed right then" When I bring it for a second opinion I find that it is perfectly fine and I don't need any work done on it.
They come out with cheap deals for il changes - which is fine, but I would get a second price quote and opinion before I was to get any work done there.

Joe's deli is one of the best in the area. Great sandwiches and I've also catered from them - which he does a wonderful job with.
It is located in the same plaza as the Wood Bin, and although it may not look like one of the best - I'm sure you won't be upset with your food!
Great for picking up food to take on a picnic!

My best friend just got married and had the reception at the Candlewood Inn. Although you need to pick a date WAY in advance, it is an absolutely gorgeous place with great food. It looks out over Candlewood Lake and you can come in on a boat into their dock.
They have a bridal suite upstairs for the bridal party before it is announced, which it quite nice.
It was one of, if not the nicest weddings I have ever beed to - and a big part of that was the Candlewood Inn.

A good bagel store where all the locals go. There are always people there because they have great bagels and great sandwiches.
A small little tidbit - I have been told that Brookfield Shoprite gets their bagels from Bagelman - and they are cheaper there...so if you find you like bagelman, and buy a dozen bagels - head down the street a mile and pick them up at Shoprite.

Not a fancy gym with anything super special, but it is a lot cheaper than any of the other gyms and it has the basic machines and a weight room.
The staff is friendly and it is kept clean - for the price, I would definitely recommend it; you can't go wrong.

I tried numerous physical therapy places after i was in an accident and they only one I found wasn't just out for the money was Carlson. The staff seemed to truly care abotu your well being and pushed you - so that I finished even before I was scheduled to.
I've recommended this place to others, and will continue to do so. It is the only PT place I would trust.

I went here after an accident and they did not help me at all. I told them I didn't think I was improving and they insisted that I continue coming. After weeks of treatment, I decided to go to another place, and found that when someothign wasn't working, they switched me to a new treatment.
Although it is just my opinion, and I can't speak for the entire company - I had a bad experience there.

The Brookfield Market, right by Four Corners is a really cute little place. It is too expensive to do all my big grocery shopping there - and they don't' carry a huge variety but they have great bakery products. They get a delivery every day from Little Italy in NYC and it is wonderful.
I often stop on Sunday mornings for fresh hard rolls.
