My wedding cake was super dissappointing. Not nearly as nice as the picture I was shown. The cake was a really important detail for me, I bake and love to decorate and I was really bummed at how it came out. I know everything doesn't go right on a wedding day and I am happy to be married but still had much higher hopes for the look of my cake. Can't undo the pictures or the memory of that. more

Sorry!! This bakery is lacking freshness!! I We tried breakfast twice to give a fair try...everything was either cold or lacking. How do you ruin scrambled eggs? Coffee cold, milk was spoiling..tried some pieces of cake, well...they all had the taste of the refridgerator...that tells me it has been there for a while...the strawberries on it were all bad. I cannot bring myself to go there for anything else ever. Just being honest...sorry :( There are better bakeries than this place...and the owners could be a little more pleasant. more

Gluten Free "not" 2/15/2011

When asked what gluten free products they had available, I was asked well how much gluten can your daughter have??? WHAT??? How can they advertise gluten free products when I was specifically told by the baker that NONE of there products were 100% gluten free due to cross contamination. I will NEVER buy anything from them again and just thought everyone should know that they should think twice about buying anything gluten free from them. By the way, the baker was also very nasty, maybe because I was asking too many questions regarding their "gluten free" products. more

The Best!!! 10/10/2010

I needed a specialty cake for my dog club that dogs and humans could eat (I know, it sounds strange) and Taste of Home Bakery made exactly what I wanted. My members raved about the special cake and many had seconds (including the dogs)! Whatever you need, they can do it! A taste of home is my favorite place for a quick bite and pastry. It's the perfect place to get an early start on your day and have that old fashion-style breakfast like your grandmother made or a great place to meet colleagues or clients for lunch! They also have the best brownies and cheese cake on LI. more

Best Cakes & Chocolates 7/28/2010

I am always pleased with any cake I get from A Taste Of Home bakery. My favorite is their Shadow cake and the freshly made milk chocolates. Their cakes are freshly baked, very moist and always delicious. A Taste of Home bakery is the only bakery I go to my special occasions cakes. more

Best Bakery!!! Don't miss out! 7/27/2010

We just had my husband’s 50th Birthday Luau last month and a Taste of Home Bakery not only did a wonderful job with all the desserts but some of the catering too! They created a luau themed two tier cake that not only looked wonderful but was so tasty. We also had chocolate covered pretzels, luau themed mini cupcakes and delicious cookies. Our guests are still raving about it!! I wouldn’t order from anywhere else! more

WORST EVER!!!! 4/29/2009

A Taste of Home bakery may look nice on the outside but on the inside it's anything but. The cookies are old and stale. The bread is tasteless and ordinary. The chocolates and popcorn is horrible. The worst I've ever had! It all went into the garbage. I have had cakes that have been moldy and gross! I've even seen kids in the back kitchen that were to young to be working!!! I will never go back to a Taste of Home Bakery and Im not the only one. If you know anything about food and sanitary situations you too would agree with me. more

They catered the desserts for an open house we threw. Everything was amazing. Flavor, varity, presentation, staff. Thank you for helping me create a very successful evening.
