We stop by CJ's on the way up to Camper's Hideaway, and really like their sub sandwiches - we buy several, and take the extra with us. We've only had one pizza there - a pepperoni that was really greasy! One thing that we haven't figured is their hours. Sometimes they are closed when it's not even very late. We've stopped by there a couple of times to find them closed, and ended up going down the road to Country Kitchen instead ...

Very unique lodge. It is a huge cabin...family like, but fits way more! It is nestled in the foothills of Mount Saint Helen's. It is a great winter retreat space as well... you may even see snow.
They have two main lodges, and then a small cabin for guest speaker, or retreat leader.
Another bonus is there are two hot tubs on premise.
Tennis/Volleyball courts, big field for games. And a great kitchen for you to do your own cooking.

More
Even before all the recent volcanic activity at Mount St. Helens, we took a trip up to the Johnston Ridge Observatory and loved it. The drive is amazing itself, as you watch the landscape transform before your eyes. Once you arrive at the observatory there is an excellent view of the mountain on a clear day. Of course, the day we went, it was socked in fog! Now the local Portland paper will tell you ahead of time what the visibility is at Mt. St. Helens, so be sure to check before you go! We had a great time even though we could not see the crevice of the volcano, as the devastation of the area was fascinating enough. The observatory is nice, small with some interactive displays, with the main show the volcano out the large windows. Be sure to also take the short hike that leaves the parking lot to gain a better appreciation the impact this eruption had on the local environments.

Honestly, I don't know how they stay in business. Amboy is a small town, and never see anyone parked at Wilson's Auto Parts. They are also an authorized Napa dealer.
