Doggie Den

I just wanted to let the staff know i am so very Happy i found them. My Bischon Frise Lady, is my Baby, and i don't trust anyone with her. The staff at Doggie Den was super friendly, and so kind and gentle with her. Christy the owner is such a sweet person. She has offered me tips on health issues, on grooming, and has such a nice personality. I have watched the way my dog responds to people, and she had no fear with them.. i know when i leave her there, she will be fine. and well taken care. i also have watched the way she is being talked to and treated, and i have NEVER been let down. i feel totally safe with her there. The grooming she gets is the BEST ever. I personally feel that the rates are low there. For all the GREAT care she gets, and the grooming itself.. IT'S PRICELESS. You can't put a cost on TRUST.. Today was the first time I took my dog to The Doggie Den for grooming. The staff wase very courteous and professional. The groomer asked questions so that she correctly understood excatly how I wanted my dog's fur cut. I showed up a half an hour early and she was just finishing up, and I saw through the little window that she was being very kind to my puppy. She didn't know I was there yet. Previously I took my dog somewhere else to be groomed and every time was disappointing. Soon my dog would shake forcefully out of fear before and after she was groomed at the other place. She did not shake at all at The Doggie Den. I will recommend The Doggie Den to everyone I know. I believe they truly love Animals and love their jobs. I will take my dog there for now on!!! more

I have been getting our dog groomed at the Doggie Den for several years now and have, for the most part, been happy with their service. Positives include: Conveniently located on 6th Ave near the Knickerbocker. Always easy to get an appointment. Our dog always looks nice and is well groomed. Negatives: On several occasions, my dog was not finished when I arrived at the time they gave me to pick her up, forcing me to wait up to 15 minutes extra. The price of grooming has steadily increased for the past several years (from the high teens to close to $25). But overall, the service has been acceptable. more
