I bought a digital camera, card and extra battery pack at this store. The camera company offered a free printer, if I sent in rebate forms. It took a long time to type out everything on their store computer and when the clerk went to do the page printout, things were not correct. The system lost the document on the second attempt. The third time was a charm for the receipt, but the rebate forms didn't print. The clerk said he was new and we were very patient. It took nearly an hour to ring out.
The problem happened when I got home. There was a problem with the pricing. The third statement did not give me the sale price on the digital card for the computer. I was set to go on a business meeting the next day but I called in the morning and the clerk told me there wouldn't be a problem to do the refund for 20 bucks when I returned.
I brought my receipt and went in to the store when I returned. The rub came when the clerk told me that the cards were never on sale! I know they were because I priced them before I bought the camera and I remember thinking they were a few dollars more at Dodd's, but I didn't have time to go to the other store just for the card. The clerk had been helpful in showing me the camera, so I figured, "They deserve the bucks."
I didn't have any proof of the price since the sale was listed ONLY in a notebook on the counter at the store the day of the sale. It was a special sale and not listed in the newspaper flier. The camera was listed--but no card price.
I feel I was cheated and I won't return to shop at Dodd's again. The clerk was nasty--a different one from the first day. In the middle of looking through the book for the sale sheet (that had since been removed), she answered the phone and went into a 15 minute repair call. I was on my lunch hour and politely asked if the paper was available and she acted like I was out of line in my request to finished with my problem before taking on another issue.
Poor business practices and bad customer service. I do not recommend this store!
