At The Wheelsmith we take great pride in what we do.The guy whom wrote this post was told none of the above,Or did not understand what was said.He called and stated that he had noticed that his tire was low in a rear wheel.So he put extra air in his tire so that he could take his car to the car bulder and have it checked.Will travling to the builder he said that he had a blowout in that tire.He took it to a tire shop and they told him that thye leak in the wheel cause the tire to take on more air and exploded the tire.Bob told him to send the wheel back and we would repair it,the customer said it was already repaired,but you owe me a tire.So Bob asked him to repeat what happened again.There is no way that a leak cause the tire to blowup,it does not take on air with a leak. Bob stated that the story made no sense and was stupid.Not that the customer was stupid,We have no way of even knowing that the wheel was a leaker.We have never see it.This guy the told Bob that he was going to kick him ass in Louisville.next year.We tried to make thing right but have never even seen the wheel or the tire. more

I just got off the phone with Bob, the owner of Wheel Smith in Santa Ana, Ca. I am a very rational person that does not get upset too often. I tried to reason with Bob re: a faulty seal on a wire wheel that caused a new tire to blow out . The seal was not adhering to the inside of the rim. I was driving my roadster on the interstate and it blew due to loss of air under pressure causing tire to blow. Bob, in essence told me to F--k off and slammed the phone in my ear. I hope he talks to me this way when I see him in Columbus or Louisville next year. He won't be able to hang up on me then. My very honest advice to anyone considering a purchase from Wheel Smith to think long and hard. I was forever getting my wheels delivered. The number of weights I had to use on each wheel was ridiculous. Some people treat you so nice when wanting your business, but tell you to F--k off when you have a complaint. more

these guys are a bunch of clowns, they screwed up everything i ordered, made me pay for the same items twice, built the wheels wrong, i.e. wrong offset,wrong size rim, wrong color,wrong size hub caps,wrong bolt pattern and took the trim rings back to exchange then refused to give me the right ones that i paid for,(still have'nt got them)and took 9 months at that.i will never ever use wheelsmith in santa ana, ca. for anything again. i was also threatened by the owners son. if you need a quaility wheel and don't want to go through what i did, try wheelvintique, they are very friendly and professional. on a 0 to 10 scale i would give wheelvintique a 9 and wheelsmith a -0. Pros: none what so ever!!! Cons: to many to name!!! more
