I agree with the objective reviews that the 5-star reviews cannot be true. Regardless of the location, Westside Rentals is not a good vehicle for securing an apartment. They sell membership subscriptions to people interested in properties for rent. I used Westside Rentals from Nov. 1 until Jan. 1. I found Westside Rentals to have horrible customer service, poor inventory and unreliable property descriptions Units that had already been rented and were communicated as such were not updated to give the prospective tenant the appearance of a lot of inventory. When we were in the Hermosa Beach office making our purchase we heard a customer service rep tell a prospective owner that was going to sign with them, to list their property as 30-days month-to-month on the lease terms to get more attention! Westside Rentals is not worth the $60 fee. It makes more sense to drive around the neighborhoods that you want to rent from and use the ""Westside Rental"" signs as guides. The landlord or property management company will eventually be at the property, and if they are serious and legitimate landlords they will also post their phone numbers on their rental unit. Save your $ and use it for your first dinner in your new apartment. Good luck!!! more

OMG! Who composed those positive reviews? I could only get through the first four before confirming beyond a doubt they were put-on, paid-for commentaries! I'd run the other way from these people! more

Has anyone tried all of their ?Member Benefits?? Apparently you can get $60 off on TW Cable, moving services, gym memberships, renters insurance and other stuff. I didn?t realize it until after I?d already moved and set everything up? more

I feel like I ripped Westside Rentals off somehow. I signed up for $60, got a great place right away and then when I signed up for Time Warner Cable, which I had to do anyway, Westside Rentals gave me a $60 rebate. I don?t quite get it, but I feel pretty good about it. more

Landlords love this company. I tried calling places by driving around and they were asking me if I was a member of Westside Rentals. I guess they do free credit checks. Hey, smoke em if you got em I guess. I joined. more

My buddy in San Diego says he?s started to see Westside Rentals signs in downtown SD and even saw an office over in PB. I remember when Westside Rentals didn?t even have a website and handed out Xerox copies everyday at 4pm! more

Does anyone else feel like this company is taking over? I drove by their santa monica office last week and saw that they now do commercial leasing and even have a full real estate brokerage. Last year my friend got a job through their other site, jobs.westsiderentals. I?m keeping an eye on these guys? more

My company had a discount for Westside Rentals. I guess landlords love renters with jobs so Westside Rentals gives a discount to companies. I guess they?ve got deals set up with most of the studios. Hey?works for me?I got 25% off! more

I actually heard of Westside Rentals before I even got to LA. Seems like a weird idea, but I used it because everyone said it was worth it. They were right. more

Apartment should be at nice location ,,and tenants should be free from interference from landlords. And Westsdie Rentals, I believe are best in this kind of job. As, their relationship with landlords is really very good. more
