Watson Clinic Main Campus

Appointment scheduling staff is the most unprofessional I have had the displeasure of ever speaking to in the health care field. Not only would they not listen to my concerns about our sons shots, they hung up on me when I asked questions. It was our first time going to this poor excuse of a medical facility and all we wanted to do was ensure we were getting the correct shots for our appt. After reluctantly deciding to show up, I asked the front desk who I could speak to about the scheduling staff. I was given a name and number for a supervisor. I called and she said she would look into the matter and pull the recording and then call me back. Never heard from her again after several months. I called again and left a message. Still no word from her. If you give this kind of care to people on the phone, you may as well expect the same in the exam room. more

Because the medical care in our small community is so horrendous, my husband and I choose to drive 75 miles (one way/150 miles round trip) to Watson Clinic in Lakeland. Thankfully, neither of us have any major medical problem or the monotonous drive would probably cause us to move to Lakeland. Founded in 1941, Watson Clinic claims to be one of the most renowned and largest medical clinics in the southeast. The clinic has grown to ten locations and they have about 170 physicians. It seems like there is a doctor in just about every specialty but podiatry. In the 20+ years we've been going to Watson Clinic, we have seen a lot of doctors. While I can't say I've liked or thought everyone of them was good, there have only been a couple that I didn't like for one reason or another. I also have to say their Urgent Care department needs a lot of help to be more efficient. Count on waiting a couple of hours before being seen by a doctor. Otherwise, I think Watson Clinic is an excellent choice for your medical needs. more
