Waterford Gardens

I buy from them because they have odd sizes of tubing that I need for my ponds. But when I receive my order, the tubing is often short from the quantity I ordered. David, in their Customer Service (joke) department is abrasive and crabby to deal with. He is SURE you got what you ordered, even when you assure him you did not. I had to press the issue to get him to send me additional tubing so that I could have what I needed. Further, when I got plants, I was not sent all I ordered and there was no note telling me when, or even IF, I would get the balance of the order. To be fair, they didn't charge me for the plants they shorted, but still, it would have been nice to have some sort of explanation. more

Had my Koi Pond cleaned out by Waterford and had some bothersome issues. No one mentioned that the men would leave the water running from my hose to refill the pond when the work was done. I came home 3.5 hours later (work took less than 2 hours as billed) and the pond was filled and water running into the runoff pipe. The slate on the top of waterfall was not placed back into the proper position and actually prohibited water from flowing down into the pond. It is too heavy for me to move but I was able to get a rock under the slate for now. The men even left a dead frog sitting by pump instead of burying it or putting in the brush. Having said that the water was crystal clear. A good job cleaning out the pond. I called Waterford just to tell them about the hose being left on without my knowledge...all was good. At night I noticed the lights around the pond were off. Thought at first it was the timer. It wasn't. The lights wouldn't go on. Not sure if it was because they put the power washer plug into the transformer outlet and it blew. I went over to Waterford to talk to the manager/ owner...someone in power. Dave can over. As I calmly told him of the issues he got so angry and stomped off like a 2 year old. I was floored. No communication skills here. We have gone here for 10 years buying fish, products, pumps, lights etc. This was not a way to treat a customer. When I got home later today I noticed the underwater light on my steps. The men yesterday took it out of the pond. My educated guess is when it was taken out it had loosened the connection, ergo no lights. Tonight I will tell if my lights work. If they don't I will call and pay my electrician to fix this issue. My underwater light (which I purchased last year from Waterford) will remain in my garage till I get someone at my home for other electric work. I am so disappointed in the behavior of Dave....shame on him!!! I will never step foot into that store again. I will continue to tell friends and family of my bad experience. more

THIS SUMMER I SPENT MUCH OF MY DISPOSABLE INCOME AT WATERFORD GARDENS IN SADDLE RIVER NJ. THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP. BASCIALLY IT'S A PLACE WHERE YOU BUY YOUR FLOWERS, BACK YARD ACCENT PIECES, COY PONDS ETC...IT'S BASICALLY A LOT OF OUTDOOR DECOR TYPE OF THINGS. THEIR INVENTORY IS GORGEOUS..AND IT'S VERY CONVENIENT FROM WHERE I LIVE. HOWEVER,,IT'S VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. THEY DO HAVE A FEW PEOPLE WORKING IN THE STORE TO HELP YOU OUT, WHICH IS NICE. I ALWAYS LIKE A STORE WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I JUST WISH IT WAS A BIT CHEAPER TO SHOP HERE..BUT OH WELL..I GUESS EVERYONE HAS TO MAKE A LIVING! OVERALL I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STOPPING BY THIS PLACE...IT'S WORTH IT..JUST TO SEE HOW CREATIVE ALL THEIR MERCHANDISE IS. more
