Walnut Creek Chapel

I read some of the other reviews on here and felt the need to leave one of my own. Although my wedding hasn't taken place yet (3 weeks to go!!) I have loved working with Walnut Creek. I am obsessed with details and a ""planner"" personality, so a ""stress-free chapel"" made me worry I wouldn't get my dream wedding. However, I have been plesantly surprised. My mother, fiance, and I feel in love with the absolute beauty of the chapel the moment we saw it... after booking our date, everything has fallen into place. I chose their platinum package.. but customized it to my own liking.. i change a lot of things.. and they didn't mind a bit, they even commented on how much they liked my ideas! Our wedding will be at 7:30 on a Saturday night.. and the normal package allows you to arrive at the facility at 6pm.. I didnt think this would be enough time, so I asked if we could come earlier, at 5 and they said no problem! They schedule several meetings with you to plan all the details, which is helpful. The only complaint I had is that their meeting times dont work well for people who work 8-5 jobs, however they often stayed late for me. The catering is DELICIOUS! I think it depends on what you choose.. they had some things I didn't care for.. but you have SO MANY options that I love what we ended up with! They also customize things for you.. we mixed and matched from their different packages to create the buffet we wanted. My friend was told she would have a ""....stress-free wedding"" NOT! It is a nice place but the owners are not professional or personable. They get you in by making you think that they will cater to your every need, want, and desire - NOT!. They set up your appointments with the vendors for you, which by the way are a joke since they won't let you use anyone other than THEIR vendors! Their service is crappy, crappy, crappy and it must be they are getting some sort of kick back. The DJ makes you fill out a long form and then doesn't follow your requests. The Cake lady does not pay attention to detail and does not deliver the cake that is picked from the ""cake book"" and it wasn't a good cake, there was a lot left over. The photographer was slow and didn't seem to know what he was doing. And they openned the buffet while we were taking pictures. When the bride, groom and bridal party entered reception everyone was finishing up, and there was no place for them to sit, their reserved tables were taken They rushed the bride to cut the cake. The staff did not control the flow of the wedding as promised. BEWARE BRIDES!!!!! Cons: Over priced for what you get! more

If I would have searched for reviews on this place they call a business first, I would have NEVER booked my wedding here! Walnut Creek is a beautiful facility. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. Everything is their way or the high way. You pay a lot of money (a ton for Oklahoma) and should be calling all of the shots. They plan everything out for you and won't let you make any changes. I asked around with some florists and caterers after the fact (don't call A Spot for Tea, their default caterer, as it's run by the owners daughter) and found that some refuse to do jobs at Walnut Creek because they are so difficult to work with! How bad does a place need to be for a caterer to turn down a job? One said that they had a couple of guys quit right after a Walnut Creek job! They also rush and order you around on the day of the wedding. I didn't enjoy myself at all. They have a nice room for getting ready, but you only have 30mins to use it because they have the bride for the next day in there looking around during her rehearsal. Who takes 30mins to get ready for their wedding? Pros: Nice facility, well kept Cons: Staff is rude and bossy, they don't let you make any changes at all, even if you ask them well ahead of time for something specific they won't do it. more

it was very prettybut,.......way over priced.i had to pick -up yo many things for the wedding. i think you could or should get more for your $ 8000.00 more
