My Mongolian Beef smelled like a live horse. Yum. Pros: Smelled like Horse Cons: Not too expense for the smell of horse.

Would say "great" because at least Wacky Wok TRIES to be an old-fashioned NY Chinese food restaurant. I'll take it! more

Asked for chicken in my meal while paying the minor extra charge. No chicken, Boo. Also, asked for no mushrooms in the same meal and again, Boo, riddled with the shrooms. Only had the one meal with an appetizer and soup and they dropped the ball thirty three percent. Won't order there again, thanks more

i'm pretty skeptical about most chinese delivery places on the westside, but found myself pleasantly surprised by Wacky Wok. I ordered Hot and Sour Soup, Szechwan chicken and the tofu with minced pork; all of them were very good and tasty. additionally, the delivery came in 20 minutes! big thumbs up. more

I was in the mood for fried rice and I had just about given up on finding good fried rice on this side of town. Hell, I gave up on finding the kind of good fried rice I got back East! But the BBQ pork fried rice from Wacy Wok took me back. It wasn't full of filler to fill up the box (tons of veggies and egg). This was old school fried rice with lots of good meat, hardy with a smokey flavor and not too greasy. I will order this dish again and I want to now check out other dishes on the menu. Strong work Wacky Wok. more

Pretty decent chinese food. Not the best in LA, but most definitely a few steps above the fast food style places you see everywhere. Good hot/sour soup, things always seem fresh and are tasty. more

Overall taste of food was just ok and the delivery time was acceptable but due to the online service sending my order through wrong EVERY SINGLE ITEM THAT I ORDERED WAS DELIVERED WRONG!!!!! After spending $40 after tip to feed two people lunch I decided it was worth calling to get corrected and all that was offered was a credited fried rice on my next order when all I wanted was the items that I didn't get that were PAID FOR to be brought to me so that I could actually enjoy my food. I will never order from this restaurant again nor will I reccommend them to anyone I know. Far from impressed. more

I am always highly suspicious of new takeout Chinese spots....this one was fantastic! more

Best Chinese Food on the West Side 10/26/2008

This is a great find. Cosy, yet busy, the food is terrific and consistently so. If you crave a simple menu with authentic taste and the freshest ingredients and a great price you must try this little find in the Marina. more

Good Chinese delivery 1/7/2008

We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant that delivers. We finally tried Wacky Wok and were very pleasantly surprised. Given the name, we were expecting Panda Express, but the food was much better and they delivered to our door promptly (food was still warm). We ordered the chicken chow fun (good), bbq pork with snow peas (very good), egg flower soup (good) and orange chicken (fair - it was a little too sweet for our taste). Overall the meal was very good and we will definitely order from them again. For reference, we also like Mao's Kitchen in the area, but it's a little out of the way and they do not deliver to our area. Pros: Delivery, Service more

Pros: AUTHENTIC NEW YORK STYLE CHINESE FOOD! Cons: NOT AS DIRTY AS MY FAV PLACE IN NEW YORK : ) more

Fresh, Fast, Delicious! 12/27/2007

I'm sure the locals in Venice and Marina Del Rey area already know about this gem. I was lucky enough to discover this place accidentally years ago, and I've been coming back regularly to get my fix of their light and tasty dishes. I love the new decor and the fast and friendly service. Food is unpretentious, fresh, and comforting. This is not just your average neighborhood Chinese joint! Pros: Fresh, Fresh, Fresh more

I've Driven 30 miles to eat here! 3/27/2007

This is by far the most authentic and fresh, tasty Chinese food I've eaten in Los Angeles. Hidden away in an inconspicuous minimall, their following has been steady and loyal for over 20 years, mostly because of the great chefs who have made the food what it is, and what the customers have come to expect. Fresh, and addictive jumbo shrimp are the best I've eaten anywhere. An extensive menu and an owner who is attentive and kind, who always remembers your name and what you like to eat, takes this little place to a different level. They are dressing the place up a little bit and the ambience is quite nice for an eat-in experience. A true favorite that I wish was closer to me, because I'd be eating there every week! Pros: The food! The attentive service Cons: None, except it's too far from my house! more

Good delivery 7/21/2006

Some of the dishes are great. Some just so-so. Yuo've got to know what to order. The chow mien is done perfect. Try, Sweet & Sour Shrimp, Tea Smoked Dusk, Szechuwan Beef, Chicken & Green beens, (very fresh beans) Pros: Some Great Dishes Cons: Some are just average more

Craptacular! 12/8/2005

Omigod, do not go here. The chefs there doesn't have taste buds. The Lo mein was soggy and tasted really gingery, the fried rice was hard and everything was either super salty or completely bland. The service was quick and the food was cooked right there, but the price sucked along with the food. This place makes Panda Express fit for a king! :P Pros: Quick Service Cons: Food Sucks, Price Sucks more

Food at Wacky Wok 9/29/2004

This is the best Chinese food in the Marina and Venice area. They've been serving the area for almost 20 years. The food is specially prepared per order. The Chinese food at Wacky Wok compares to the old New York style Chinese food. You have got to try it!!! more
