THIS RESTAURANT IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET EVER! I knew it was in St. Augustine for a long time but I never tried it until recently. I could not believe how good the food is. I went to Italy once and the food was great but the Villa Santa Monica has the best Italian I have ever eaten. The service is fantastic, and that is hard to find in this town. They have homemade pastas and sauces, individual homemade gourmet pizza, all kinds of delicious fish, seafood, chicken, veal. filet mignon, and vegitarian fare. I came with a party of seven so I sampled a little of everything. Believe me I was impressed with all of it. The chef is really from Italy and he came out and told jokes at our table . That was really fun. I suggest to anyone that they should do them self a favor and go to the Villa Santa Monica and get happy.
Pros: Great authentic Italian food, service and atmosphere. inside and porch dining, large wine list.
Cons: Hard to find the first time, It is a small place so sometimes there is a line
