Can't say enough good things about this Tuffy shop. They are friendly. The work is good. Prices are reasonable. Everything you can hope from an auto repair center.

Crazy!!! 7/2/2012

I took my car there for quite a bit of work, the horn, and some other work the entire thing cost me over 2000$ and my car is way more messed up then when I brought it in so I took it back and they wanted to charge me more money to re- look at it! And on top of it all they wanted to charge me over 700$ just to fix the. The only good thing they did was give me a loner car while mine was being fixed at no cost to me. I will never go there again. more

Honest & Trustworthy 3/7/2011

I have never had a bad experience at Tuffy! They always treat me with respect and I really trust them to tell me what is wrong with my car and never add on extra charges or services that I don't need. I would never take my car anywhere else. more

Highly Recommend 3/7/2011

Honest, high quality and professional workmanship! Very fair and considerate of each client's needs who walk in the door! Would definitely recommend making this your neighborhood mechanic shop! more

VERY SATISFIED 2/16/2011

I was recently on a trip, and had my car die on the interstate. I had it towed to tuffy because it was the only place that could get me in in a timely manner. I was offered a loaner car while mine was being looked at. turns out my alternator quit working. the price wasnt bad, and they also noticed some other repairs that were in need of attention, but could wait till I got back home. I think when I get back home that I will be loking for another shop to do my repairs, because tuffy showed me problems that were there that my mechanic at home didnt. overall, I am very satisfied with tuffy and will send anyone I know that way. thanks guys!! more

Overpriced 12/30/2010

Completely ripped me off for what I know now is a very simple repair. more

Overpriced 12/30/2010

Needed a part fixed, they charged nearly $100 in labor for what my more automechanically inclined friends informed me was a very simple repair, that takes less than 30 minutes. My friend showed me how to fix it in the future so I don't get ripped off. Thanks Tuffy's for making true the statement 'sleezy grease monkeys'. I don't like being made a fool of and getting ripped off. I will never go to your business again. more

This place is way to expensive. 4/2/2010

I recently had a headlight switch fixed on my car. I call a couple of other places in Fargo, None of the could get me in the same day. So I called Tuffy Auto Center. They told me the will check it out, but they charge $90 an hour. The mechanical the does most of the electrical work was busy, so they had their lube jockey looking at my car at $90 an hour. Through all there searching they found that the headlight switch was bad and need to be replaced. The total was just over $400. I call another garage and they looked up the parts and labor, and they said on the high end it would be $225. I called up Tuffy's and told them this. They said I could take over to them if I wanted to but I still Tuffy's $145 for the diagnosis. I decided to stay with Tuffy's. Because the difference in price would only be about $25 to $30. Another thing you need to beware of is the high cost of shop materials. This is another way they will take you to the cleaners. For replacing my head light switch, they charges me $18.50 in shop materials for replacing 2 electrical parts. I could see 5 to 10 dollars. but $18.50 was way to much for paper towels and a little soldering. more

Be very careful 3/16/2006

If you choose to have your vehicle serviced at Tuffy's, double check all their work. I recently had a truck serviced there(brakes, shocks, and some other work), and 2 days later, my radiator started leaking(something that Tuffy's hadn't serviced). My husband looked at it, and discovered that a brand new radiator hose had been loosened. He tightened it back up, but was rather dismayed with the mechanics at Tuffy's. I would definitely never recommend any ever go there for auto work. more
