I have been to several baseball stadiums and Tropicana Field was by far the worst. I can say that ticket prices were very reasonable, there was plenty of parking, and the seats were very close to the field. Despite all this, the field and the atmosphere were horrible. The entire time that I was there I felt as if I was watching a game being played on a bumper pool table rather than a baseball field. It was more suitable for an indoor soccer game or an arena football game than a major league baseball game. There was no baseball feel to it at all. Added to this was the fact that there were more fans cheering for the opposing team than the home team! Very sad. Pros: Parking and ticket prices. Cons: Not a baseball atmosphere and having to watch the Devil Rays. more

Gotta Love the Tropicana 6/16/2003

I recently went to see the Devil Rays and loved it! So what if the team isn't world series champs, it is baseball! Not only did I love watching such a young team play with their hearts, but I loved the stadium as well. The ushers were so friendly and informative. All the fans around me were having a blast, cheering and dancing to the music. I am bringing my friends back because I want to see the Devil Rays play! Pros: Great Parking, Good Deals, Friendly Atmosphere more

My Visit 4/27/2003

On April 23, 2003 while vacationing in Fla from Md I went to Tropicana Field to see a game. I was able to get great parking for a very reasonable price. I was able to go right to the window and purchase a ticket without hassell. With all this great service it got even better. We sat in the left outfield and was greeted by the most hospitable and most friendly usher I have ever met. His name was Sam. He gave my son a ball that had been hit during batting practice, and periodically came and spoke to him during the game. Usually my son is asleep by the second inning. Because of Sam he was glued to the game and has become a great Devil Rays fan. Thankyou for a great time. Thankyou Sam. more
