Best

They have great pizzas and really good calzones. I've also tried the baked chicken...yummy! Service has always been good. I really like eating outside on warmer days.

Very disappointed 2/25/2011

Saw a deal on Livingsocial for Trio's. Pay $20 for $40 worth of food. I had gone there in the past and thought it was great. Don't know if it has new owners or what, but this time it was bad. The hostess was a very elderly lady who seemed kind of dazed. When she took us to our table, she literally threw the silverware down. The padding in my chair was bunched up, i had to move. i mentioned it to the waitress and she gave some lame excuse. She was ok, tho, otherwise. The chicken wing appetizer was very good, came out pretty quick. But our pasta entrees were tasteless and tough. The bread was nothing special. The spinach salad was boring. The bill was $47 (i had one beer) for one salad, one appetizer and 2 veggie entrees. Even with my coupon, it wasn't worth it. and it was very noisy. I won't go back. more

Bad service, bad hype. 8/19/2008

I came here when it was slow, because at any other time the lines are basically out the door. We got the wrong appetizer, and my shrimp were undercooked on my main dish, how do you do that!! My friend got lasagna and it was tasteless and my husband got something that was basically tastless too. Also the olive oil on the tables tasted horrible and it was bright yellow. I don't think that is how it's supposed to look.. I would not go here again. Also the service was horrible, and there was no one there. They were very rude. I wouldn't go here if you value your health. Pros: none Cons: hard to park, hard to get in there for dinner anyway. more

One of the most unusual and delicious pizza I ever had! 10/24/2006

I had a chance to dine at this place...here's the scoop: The best thing about this restaurant is its pizza. I ordered a Goat Cheese Vegetable pizza..Try it out.If you are not much into Goat Cheese, To be on the safe side, request the server to go easy on the cheese and more veggies (there is an option of chicken or shrimps, for the same pizza), as I did. Definelty not the usual eat-all-you-can buffet pizza ;-) !!! They have decent choice for wines too and my choice was a Chianti Reserva... The servers too are very polite and make sure you are pampered! The only down side is its atmosphere which is more casual , so if you are looking for a quit-evening dinner with your loved ones this would not be the best choice..But if you are looking for a place which is not overtly casual and yet has a balance, then this is a very highly recommended place. Pros: Delicious and Quality Food, Nice Servers, Very Reasonably priced Food and Wine Cons: Not very much of a con :The enviornment could be a little casual for some 'stiff ' people who prefer too much of ambience and surroundings... Verdict: Highly Recommended and Two thumbs up... Pros: Food, Service, Value Cons: would be tough to say...but maybe the Ambience more

One of downtown Greenville's best! 9/28/2006

Have to strongly disagree with Jared, I have been dining at Trio for years and absolutely love it. I have always received friendly service and love the food. The goat cheese pizza cooked in the wood fired oven is one of my favorites. Neat atmosphere with the gas lanterns lining the old brick walls. Only "complaint" is it gets a little noisy on busy nights, but guess it comes with the territory! From a local, I highly recommend Trio. Pros: Great food, cool atmosphere and not too expensive, also great wine list Cons: downtown, so parking is interesting more

Slow Service 9/21/2006

Just had lunch there today. Enjoyed eating outside, but it took too long for them to wait on us, too long for food to arrive, and then they didn't serve our party of four all at once. A definite lag between entrees, too long. Then I asked for salad dressing that wasn't brought out with the salad and I never got it until the bill was brought to us--by then I didn't want it. They never asked how was it when we were served as different servers brought the food to us--no one checked back in on us. There are too many other great restaurants in Greenville to visit than to waste time here! Pros: location, street side dining Cons: parking, service, ok food more

good place for dates 6/29/2002

this place is pretty good for a date... especially a first one, i am sure half their business comes from Furman students like me hahah!! I have been there twice and they both went well, the staff served us well, and the food is good and there is plenty of it.. the prices are good, hence reccomendation for a first date... also this is a place where you can go in a suit, or in casual clothes and feel at ease either way! Pros: casual, but not too, good prices Cons: sometimes long waits more
