Went to return a Christmas gift that my daughter received duplicates of. The item was unopened and I had a gift receipt. Apparently it's Toys R US policy that they don't give refunds, only exchanges or store credit. EVEN WITH A RECEIPT?! I asked for the manager. Joe. He wasn't helpful in the least. And referred me to a store policy typed in 8 point font hanging from the ceiling.
Additionally the after-Christmas return set up was totally asinine. You have to enter through the exit. Not a huge deal except I parked by the enterance and it was freezing cold. Then when you get in the exit there are no signs telling you where to return anything. Finally after walking around for a bit I saw one small sign that said "Wait HERE until you are CALLED". Nice. So I wait there and no one calls me. Finally after having to make a fuss someone calls me and she's got an attitude. Admittingly, I also had an attitude after not being called. But whatever. The big problem here is the return policy. I later found out Babies R us has the same return policy. So screw both stores. I hope they both go out of business.
