Ordered from this place tonight. They completely got my order wrong. It happens, so I didn't make a big deal..I just called and told the guy that my order was wrong and to send the right order and that I would give the wrong order back to delivery guy (I live very close by). The guy said there was "NO WAY" they got the order wrong and said the only way he would do anything is if I personally went back there and showed it to him myself. So I did. Who the hell makes someone come to the restaurant to "prove" they made a mistake. \r \r Anyway, I went and showed the Manager my order (he's actually the guy in the first picture..on the right). Then he continues to tell me that somehow I was mistaken about what I ordered. Unbelievable. So after arguing with me for 5 minutes, he conceded and gave me my money back. No apology .. no attempt to correct my order. So after everything, I walked out of there, hungry as hell, with no food and only the money that I had given earlier. \r \r That's what you call customer service, folks! Needless to say, I'm never going there again. more

Worst Customer Service EVER. Mediocre food. 4/23/2012

It happens, so I didn't make a big deal..I just called and told the guy that my order was wrong and to send the right order and that I would give the wrong order back to delivery guy (I live very close by). The guy said there was ""NO WAY"" they got the order wrong and said the only way he would do anything is if I personally went back there and showed it to him myself. So I did. Who the hell makes someone come to the restaurant to ""prove"" they made a mistake. Anyway, I went and showed the Manager my order. If you read other reviews on other websites, you'll see that half the people that go here received horrible service as well. more

Unfortunately, the excellent food did not make up for the appalling service we received. The wait staff was not at all interested in making sure we had a positive experience, and our order was so messed up that one of our party walked out. Food took forever and our waiter hovered over us to make sure we were tipping him. We were going to leave a cash tip but then he yelled at us before we got that far, basically chasing us out of the restaurant. This is very unfortunate, because the food was actually pretty good. more

Great, freshly prepared Chinese cuisine. Not a buffet, which is a good thing. Food tasted very fresh and vegetables were cooked just right (not over-done). We had a variety of dishes: Tofu and vegetables (spicy), Sesame Chicken, and Prawns with Vegetables. All were excellent and portions were more than adequate. The sushi looked very fresh, but at our table was in the mood. The wait staff was friendly and Very knowledgeable. Very professional with service of meal and cleaning of table. Conveniently located between the Marriott at Biscayne Bay and the Doubletree Hotel. more

BEST CHINESE IN MIAMI!!!! Me and my boyfriend come to Tony's at the Hilton Double Tree Grand Hotel at least once a month or more for dinner or lunch, any time we have a speical occasion to celebrate or family is in town we go there! It is honestly the best chinese in Miami, actually the best chinese i've ever had anywhere. My favorite is the Spicy Scallops and Shrimp when im not eating their sushi (which is amazing and they have a huge selection) The deco there is beautiful and the view of the waterfront is amazing, a great place to go for a romantic dinner! I highly suggest going there great experiences, great staff and THE BEST chinese food in Miami! more

I stopped for lunch on 8/24/2011, met with the most aloof waiter ever. After giving him the most simplest of orders and specifying my shell fish allergy three times, the waiter stopped by for my order one more time and still managed to serve me spring rolls made out of SHRIMP. I was very specific about my allergy, but unfortunately after one bite of the spring roll, I had a full onset of my allergy - I was VERY lucky that there was a pharmacy literally 100 feet from the main door of the restaurant. When I asked the waiter what the ingredient of the spring roll was, he simply said shrimp. Did not remember the three times I mentioned my allergy and simply didn't care. I ran out the door to get my EPI pen. There carelessness far outstrips any good reputation they may have for their cuisine. I would never recommend this place. more

I visited this restaurant the first time around 12 years and I immediately liked it. Since then, I have continued to come and the quality has never gone down, \r The Peking duck is absolutely the best in Miami but also one the best I have ever tried all around the world (I travel a lot, including the Far East).\r The service is always friendly and professional and the prices reasonable, considering the level of the restaurant. more

Steamed sea bass was fantastic, as was the beef and brocolli. I recommend a group dinner - order individual entrees, then eat family style. Wonderful. more

Not sure about the arguments with the prices. Very standard. 12 to 16 dollars for a main course. Actually cheap for Miami. Service was excellent. The food is by far the best Chinese in the area. more

Poor service. They added gratuity on a single person check. Food was good. But did not make up for other issues. more

Great Place for Dinner and Drinks 6/29/2009

My sister and I went there for drinks the first night we were in town. The bartender was so sweet and attentive. He told us stories about his family and even bought us a round for hanging out so long. We also ordered a plate of sushi and edamame as a late night snack. It was so good that we decided to go there for dinner the next day. Pros: Good food, excellent bar Cons: A bit pricey more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 6/20/2009

I find it so odd that people like this overpriced food. I am from SF- so maybe my stanards are higher. I thought this was very bland. I had szechuan shrimp and all it was- was tones of tiny shrimp in a mild butter sauce with some jalepenos tossed on top. No taste. Would not even give them another chance, especially at 17 bucks! more

Best Chinese Restaurant in Miami/South Florida 4/7/2008

This restaurant has been there for years, it's hidden in the Doubletree Grand Hotel. Beautiful waterfront dinning, lower level open kitchen to the main dinning room, clean and entertaining, friendly and professional service with a full bar. Peking duck is my favorite, it's yummy, but not greasy at all, steamed sea bass is also to die for. It's traditional Chinese food with modern twist. They don't use MSG, a lot of vegetarian dishes. It's light and healthy, it is my opinion. Pros: healthy, delicious, panoramic water view, clean open kitchen, parking only $4.00 more

Always a Winner 7/2/2006

Whenever I 'm in Miami I try to dine at Tony Chan's. The entire staff make it a memorable experience. The food is never disappointing. Year after year they continue to serve original fresh dishes with superb service. Waiters are attentive, filling and emptying as needed. Excellent wine list rounds out theperfect dining experience. My friends, family and colleagues are all impressed by this fabulous place. Pros: Beautiful, excellent service, exceptional variety Cons: not one! more
