My family of four loves to eat here. We really like the sushi. The staff is not Japanese but they do an admirable job of cooking great Japanese food. The sushi is not as good as we have eaten in Hawaii and on the West Coast but the fish (sashimi) is fresh and has never given us food poisoning. OK, that doesn't sound like a high recommendation, but it is great sushi!
I highly recommend the shrimp tempura sushi.
Also, the teriyaki chicken (with rice, broccoli and onions) is a great kid pleaser. The vegetable tempura is yummy as well as any noodle dish. We mostly come for the sushi and the miso soup.
They do not have liquor on the menu so bring your own. They also have booths in the back where you can take off your shoes and eat Japanese style. You can order and eat at the sushi bar as well.
This is a popular place with the locals. The owner is friendly and the staff works hard. Don't let the crummy look on the outside put you off-it's quite nice on the inside.
