Tissa's Country Market is quickly catching on in the Old Saybrook Community. It was a hidden treasure for a while there, but people are soon realizing what I realized from the beginning, they are good people and offer great food.
They are located off of Boston Post Road (Route 1) in Old Saybrook. Many people from around here refer to it as the old Cumberland Farms building. They are positioned just down from the shopping center that houses Ocean State Job Lot etc.
They are a convenience store with a country deli. Their sandwiches are specialty sandwiches all made to order while you wait or you can phone or fax in your order to be ready when you arrive. They offer a vast menu of tasteful treats. All sandwiches are made on your choice of fresh breads. They have adialy specials and they are worth checking out. They make a "beefy" size sandwich which is very filling! Just an example the had a special a few weeks ago which was a chipotle chicken sandwich with fresh sliced asparagus on it! Oh! it was good. They are expanding their menu daily, and ar happy to allow you to custom order anything your mind could think of. They have wonderful fresh brewed coffees, lattes and drinks.
They just celebrated their one year Anniversary! Congrats to Tissa's!
They are such warm and friendly people and the store and their foods are their passion! Check them out if you are in the area!
