Went as a recomendation - so glad we did 3/16/2011

My boyfriend and I spent a day (a beautifully perfect day, I might add) wandering up the coastline in early February. We'd visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium, hit some tourist spots and were getting hungry...so we asked a local where to get the best seafood; he recommended Tital Raves. The place was just what we were looking for. The ambiance was good, as was the view (minus the white chevy truck (that should really be hidden) we had to keep looking at as took in the ocean). I ordered the halibut tacos and they were fantastic....though if they gave me more of the sauce that comes on them I wouldn't have complained. :) We will be back again and again! more

After hearing so much about this place... 8/7/2010

We just had to try it out. I must say we will go back every time we're in town! The food was AMAZING! The clam chowder was wonderful. The view was breathtaking! I cannot wait to try more items on their menu! Good job Tidal Raves! more

WHAT A FIND!!! (With a fantastic view and unassuming) 1/23/2010

We happened to stop here on the way down the coast... Was pleasantly surprised to find the BEST chowder and the BEST salad dressing ever!!! Its was white balsamic and probably the best I have ever tasted. The view is to die for and the service was perfect. We came in with just jeans and sweatshirts because of the stormy weather and felt very comfortable... Thank you and we will be back!! Pros: Food is outstanding more

Will Try Again 4/10/2009

I wanted so badly to love this place, so I'm going back this weekend and give it a second chance. My first visit we had no reservations but got in within 10 minutes anyway. The appetizers were luscious and we were optimistic for our entrees, but were sorely disappointed. My steak, which was billed as an 'aged' piece of meat, was beyond 'aged' and should have been tossed. It was GREY and tasted bad. If that is aged steak, I'm under 30. The cold noodle (udon) salad hubby got was mushy and gross. Could it be a fluke? We hope so. April 11th we are going back for a second try. Let's hope it's great! Pros: Beautiful Setting & Good Appetizers Cons: Frantic Staff, Main Dishes needed work more

An unexpected GEM in a one horse town 7/14/2008

Truly remarkable restaurant in a little known town on the Oregon Coast. The meal was everything we dreamed of: awesome seafood (my favorite - the SOFTBALL-SIZED SCALLOPS!) delicious wine. Whales pass by and spout as you gaze out of the gigantic wall of windows. Really, there isn't a bad seat in the place, and the service was beyond excellent. I hardly think we could have eaten any better at the overpriced Bayhouse, whose menu wasn't nearly as interesting. First rate, highly recommended. Pros: I might come back to Depoe Bay just to eat here again! Cons: Tight parking lot, long wait - even though we had reservations more

I went to this restaurant 2 years ago and STILL cannot get it out of my mind. I talk about it all the time. The food was delectable, presentation Exquisite, and views breath taking. more

Outstanding Food , Not Pricy , Best view for the Ocean. 1/3/2008

I dare say no one will have a bad review about this place . Just read their comment book.!!. I have been going here for over 14 years and the food is great. Not fancy ,but just really great. If you want a great view of the ocean , this place has it. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more
