Overall, a really great experience. I love the food and the service!! I love the all the different courses.

Overpriced Boiled Meat 2/19/2009

The Melting P ot has nice atmosphere, but nothing worthy of the price. We had a reservation yet seating took 20 minutes on a Monday night. The cheese fondue was lumpy and bitter. The sides you used to dip in the cheese were mundane (although the bread is good). The main course (in this case shrimp, steak, salmon, chicken, scallops) were far overpriced for what you got, especially considering they weren't cooked. Plenty of okay sauces were presented because, in essence, you are basically eating boiled meat with no real flavor (despite the extra money we paid for seasoned water). The dessert, however, was excellent. So, in the end, go to the Melting P ot for the dessert and eat the main course elsewhere... you will be happy you did. If you miss the Melting P ot ""experience,"" take the meat you order and dip it in your water glass... Pros: Good Dessert, Clean Cons: Everything Else more

An experience, try it once and then just come back for the dessert! 3/1/2008

My wife and I joined a couple here for a friday night out. The experience is what I think makes The Melting (followed by a word they won't let me use) a place to visit and eat. However, the meal was just okay. All of the meat seemed to taste similiar and once cooked I couldn't taste much of a difference between the filet or the other beef. It seems redundant to cook a 1 ounce piece of meat and a sliver of a potato for two minutes, eat it, and then wait another two minutes for your next nipple of meat to cook and eat. The dipping sauces were all fantastic which helped to dress up the average tasting meat options. The dessert, chocolate fondue, was fabolous. I reconmend stopping here for the experience and the chocolate fondue dessert. Try the meal once but make sure you have ALOT of time. Don't try to sqeeze The Melting in before you're sceduled to see a show or concert. It took us close to 3 hours to complete our fondue night out. A bit pricey, however I think you're paying for the overall experience. Overall we had a good time and conversation. Just make sure you enjoy the company you're with because it is not a in an out restaurant! Pros: Relaxed atmosphere with a great opportunity to have conversation. THE DESSERT!! Cons: The main meal portion is just very average tasting more

OVER PRICED SMOKE AND MIRRORS FOOD!! 2/14/2008

If you would like your hard earned money disappear before your eyes you could either go to eat there or burn it. The next time I think it might be more fun to take $100 in singles and make them into paper airplanes, light them on fire one at a time, and throw them across the room and watch them burn. Pros: no Cons: VALUE, LACK OF TASTE IN THE FOOD, WINE BOTTLES FOR A WALL??? more

Best Fondue 10/30/2006

What a nice dinning experience. We went around 6:00pm on a Thursday and it wasn't that crowded. The bar area was a bit to dark but they had a wonderful drink menu and wine selection. The restaraunt was very clean, as were the bathrooms. The waitstaff did a fabulous job explaining the dinning expereince and with making reservations. We had 6 people in our party and it was a bit crowded in the booth for us all and we had to reach over each other to get to both burners. It would have been so much better if they made some tables in a U-shape so the server could reach in better as well as the ease for the customers. The food was great. I recommend the BIG NIGHT OUT, you get some great food options. Pros: Unique dinning experience great food and service Cons: Not the best for group dinning more

Great For Girls Night Out! 10/12/2006

I recently dined at the MeltingPot for the Girl's Night Out Special. Included: salad, cheese and chocolate fondue. I was impressed with the extensive wine selection, attentive staff, and the fondue choices. A fun place to visit with a bunch of friends. Pros: Ambience, Wine Selection, Attentive Staff more

Cheap Steak Cooked in Soup 8/25/2006

The Melting_Pot in Brookfield is average at best. The cheese fondue prepared tableside is very good, the salad is nothing special, the entrees taste ok, but you are paying for an illusion, you are served steak that you could buy at Piggly Wiggly and it is cooked in fake broth. If you are not looking for USDA Prime quality meat this would be for you. Desert is good, but most of the fruit for dipping in chocalate was old and bruised. Pros: Apps and Desert are very good. Cons: Cheap Steak cooked in soup! more

very romantic, very secluded booths, great dining experience 7/18/2006

Dining at this restaurant is a fun and exciting place to dine whether your a group of 10 or just a couple. We could relax and were not rushed out in a hurry to seat someone else. Pros: romantic Cons: can't think of any more

Everything was amazing. 11/8/2005

The Melting Pot has officially been put into our rotation of ""special occasion restaurants"". The service was wonderful and the food even better. I really like the way the menu is set up; there are so many options. There is something for everyone, whether you just want dessert or are hungry enough for all four courses. All I have to say is I loved it! Pros: Good Service, Excellent Food, Nice Atmosphere Cons: Need Reservations more

Excellent for special Occasions 8/1/2005

This was a really neat experience. We spent over four hours having dinner with the ""Big Night Out"" package. The restaurant has sweet options for the person reserving the table, such as having roses ready at the table when you arrive. The food was really different and tasty. It's not an everyday dining experience as our meal including tip was over $140.00. It's a fabuluous place for anniversaries and proposals. Pros: Atmosphere, Fondue! Cons: Price, Reservations more

Amazed! 6/14/2005

The entire experience was wonderful. The service was excellent as well as the food. My favorite part was dessert, but the fresh meats helped fill me up for the entree. Pros: Good Parking, Excellent Service more

Melting my heart away...... 6/1/2005

The Melting pot is great every step of the way. Please beforewarned not to have a shock of a couple spending about $100.00 or more on this wonderful place. The service is great the food is even better, but save room for my favorite... DESSERT. Pros: Quiet, Wonderful Dessert, Romantic Cons: Expensive, Distance from Mke more
