This is, I believe, the only locally owned Cinema in Tucson. I also believe it is run by the Tucson Film Foundation. Anyway, they are a great theater that features independent films. They also have several special events a year-sing-a-long movies, children's movie series during the summer, Rocky Horror Picture shows and currently they are running Cult Classics every Friday and Saturday night. It was super cool to be able to see movies from the 80s like "Goonies" and "The BIg Lebowski" on the big screen if you missed them when they originally came out. There are actually two theaters there, a large on downstairs and "The Loft" upstairs, which is smaller but has a great retro feel. There is even two sofas in the very front of that theatre for the public to sit in. Fun to be somewhere that is not so commercial and shows interesting films that I doubt you will be able to find elsewhere. Check it out!
