Dr. Gorrell has helped me so much in the past few months. I walked into his office in extreme pain and after reviewing the medications that I was on (prescribed by another pain physician), he was able to tweek them so that my pain went from a 10 on a 10 point scale to a 3!!!! I am walking every day now and I can hug my children again!!! Dr. Gorrell and his staff are the BEST!!!! more

I saw this dr. after seeing several others for pain I've had in my foot for years. I was impressed that he listened and repeated back my problems. Ended up having CryoMax to freeze my nerves. So much better and really impressed with this Dr. Gorrell and his staff. Highly recommended. more

What a great pain doctor: My family doctor told me that I need to go see a pain doctor for my extreme osteoarthritis. He said that they would be able to help me get out of pain. I waited a good couple of months before following up on his suggestion, and when I did, I went to Dr Gorrell. I was really nervous at first, because I am so young -- 24 -- and I didn't feel right being in a pain office, I thought only older people got chronic pain. However the Doctor explained to me that all kinds of people get into pain like me, especially people who did sports a lot as a child (I did gymnastics). He put me on Lortab and baclofen, and spent an entire hour with me, just explaining the differences between addiction and dependence, and what I could expect from my treatment. I've never had a doctor spend that much time with me, someone who actually seemed to care. If you are in pain, and live in Tampa-Springhill, I strongly suggest you go where I went. Two days later I already feel like a different person. more

Made Me a Believer!! I injured my knee a few months ago in a car accident and I couldn't afford to seek out a knee surgeon and go though numerous surgeries. Even though I was reluctant of holistic medicine, I decided to check out facilities in the area. After just the first session, I knew I had made the right decision. more

I had low back pain from an injury about 4 years ago. I had two herniated discs. One was extruded. I re-aggravated it about one month ago picking up a suitcase. I had excruciating pain. It was an 8 or 9 out of 10 before treatment. After treatment I'm fine. It's done miracles for me because I can sit, walk , and stand up straight. I have recommended the treatment to others. more

I initially decided on this doctor b/c he could see me sooner than about 20 other doctors. The nurse who works for him is extremely kind and understanding. She put me at ease before I even set the appointment. When I came in, I did not have to wait. The doctor was very nice and took his time explaining everything to me. I have been back to see him 2 more time since then and have never had to wait. He was just as caring and concerned as he was at my 1st appointment. Amazed to find that there are still doctors out there who are in this field for all the right reasons! more

Everything is very professional from the girls up front to the doctors in the back. You never have to wait more than 10min. I was dealing with neck and shoulder pain for about 3 months when a friend referred me to Dr. Gorrell. He explained everything from my x-rays about my neck and pinched nerve. It took about 4-5 visits to start to feel relief and I've been great ever since. I'm finally going to fix this for good. more

I had never really been in a car accident so I did not know what to expect once it actually happened. I found Dr. Gorrell through a google search but I am glad I did. Right up front I was impressed with how warm and caring everyone was before I was even starting treatment. The Pain Institute feels more like a small caring family than a doctor's office.. I would advise anyone I cared about to visit if they were ever in an accident or in general neck or back pain. An A+ in my book! more

I have had back pain for years and years Dr Gorrell is wonderful. My back is much better. I also stated a weight loss program with him and I am losing very fast. Already down over 20lbs in just a few months. more
