Robin came to my house and told me to let her think for a moment and to keep quiet. After about 2 minutes she began jumping and screaming that she ""got it"". We went back to her store and she showed me what she said that I had to pick and I did as she said. When the wallpaper went up, the room was transformed and looked so much better than what I could have imagined. Robin will save you time and money and find exactly what you are looking for! I walked into her showroom with a vague description of what I had in mind. I was amazed at how quickly she understood -- she pulled out 6 different wallpaper books and everything she showed me was exactly on target. Then when I selected the one I wanted she negotiated with the manufacturer to get me a great price, plus she coordinated the quote (which was also great) from her preferred installer. She really knows her stuff, is a pleasure to deal with and will go to bat for you! more

I've been fortunate enough to have met and worked with Robin and her family over 20 years ago; starting with her mom Sheila, who was able to help me with the paper selections of 4 different homes, all seamless and classy experiences. Enter Robin: She too has never steered me wrong. From soup to nuts, her tasteful choices will turn an otherwise stressful experience into a joy! Robin has a myriad of resources at her fingertips and is very generous to share them with you. Not only is she a designer of the highest caliber, her taste is impeccable. She will get the job done, no matter how large or small. No need to shop around--she has the best prices and selections, and this is truly one-stop shopping at it's best. My latest experience: I came to Robin with a prehistoric floor plan of an out of state home which will soon be transformed to a bed and breakfast; with the addition of some pictures and some lively conversation, she was able to not only determine how much wallpaper to use per room, but choose paint colors for the entire home! Wow! For an amazing decorating experience, there is no other place, hands down! more

Not only is this the best wallpaper/design store that I have been too, but Robin is wonderful to work with. Her knowledge and expertise is truly professional and she does go that extra mile for you. I cannot imagine shopping anywhere other than The Four Walls. more

I visited The Four Walls looking for wallpaper for a few different spaces in my house. I had an idea but didn't really know what I was doing. I am so glad I met Robin because she helped me put the whole thing together beautifully. Some of the spaces are large and scary to do but Robin was clear in her vision and helped me pick the absolute perfect papers. She really is a genius and after this experience, I wonder how people are able to buy paper and try to tie in everything together without expert advice. The store itself is lovely and organized and I didn't feel overwhelmed. The selection of papers in the store is fantastic, but honestly, the personal touch that Robin has placed on this experience for me has been invaluable. Robin went above and beyond and helped me coordinate some pieces of furniture and accessories as well. She knows what she is doing and really gives great advice. I have recommended her to friends and wow, what a different experience selecting and buying wallpaper would have been if I had gone someplace else. more

For years I wasted money thinking I could make my own design decisions. I was forever changing paint colors and ripping down and replacing wallpapers. I finally learned my lesson after I bought wallpaper online, realized it wasn't right then had to pay a 30% restocking fee. I visited The Four Walls by my sister's recommendation and met Robin Abber. I was impressed by her enthusiasm immediately. She seemed to know exactly what I was looking for. I hired her to come over and help me with lighting, wallpaper, paint color and wall-to-wall carpeting. All of these projects have been completed and my home looks amazing! The wallpaper is absolutely stunning. I never could have made my home this beautiful myself. In the end, I ended up saving money because nothing will need to be replaced. I trust Robin implicitly and am excited for her to help me choose blinds, an area rug and bathroom tiles. more

Our 100 year old colonial in Newton needed an interior facelift. We wanted to replace wallpaper in the front halls and entry that were there when we bought 34 years ago and recreate the same feel. Only one place had what we wanted: The Four Walls of Newton. And without the owner, Robin's, personal and expert advice we would never have found it. (And discover that her mother had sold the original paper to the former owner!) We had a wonderful experience choosing and buying wallcoverings for two areas and are very happy with our choices and glad to have Robin as a new friend. more
