Don't sell your books here! 8/30/2010

Great for buying textbooks, however if you are looking to resell, it's a bad idea. Went in to sell my anatomy book worth $180 and were only offering me $30. Try selling your books in elac book store during textbook buy back which is handled through a 3rd party; they will pay you up to 50% of the cost for your books more

Best deal to buy. 7/3/2010

This is probably the best and quickest option if you want to buy books. The new and used prices are exactly the same as online prices, probably cheaper because you don't have to pay for shipping. If you sell the books, it's better to sell it in classrooms, this place buys books for a price most people wouldn't rather sell it for, but hey, it's a business. more

best ever 3/2/2010

employees were very fast, helpful, and extremely nice! the books are very cheap and they definitely dont try and rip you off! more

Knowledgeable 1/26/2010

As a teacher and bookworm, I stopped to give Textmania the once-over. Although small, it is seemingly well-stocked with new and used editions. The manager had ready access to what texts were needed for what classes. I witnessed a trade-in and exchange while there and both manager and trainee were very courteous. Open 'til 7 most nights; worth a visit or call. more

AVOID TEXTMANIA AT ALL COSTS! 6/28/2009

At first i thought that textmania was a good place too. But it REALLY ISN'T. I sold them my philosophy textbook for less than 20 bucks; it was used. My friend went to textmania and bought the SAME book for 75 dollars. Look how much money they're making off of both parties. Think about it.. if I were to sell my book to her for 50 dollars, then i would have made 50 bucks instead of less than 20 and she would have saved twenty bucks. Best thing to do? CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN. Bring your book to that class and ask if anyone would like to buy it for however much money you're willing to sell it for. I GUARANTEE you would make more money. And if you're a philanthropist, you're definitely helping out the other student too. Don't go to textmaniaaa!!! Don't goooo!! more

Local Textbook Shop 8/18/2005

Textmania caters to the college students from East Los Angeles College. Although it’s located in a large plaza, it is hidden because it doesn’t face the main street. They offer books at a lower price than the bookstore, but they don’t seem to have a good return policy. My sister bought a book from them but couldn’t return it and it’s still sealed. Maybe she tried returning it too late. I think you can find textbooks cheaper online. more

Good price for textbooks!!All ELAC students should know about this book store!!! 8/5/2005

Text Mania is the other option for the East Los Angeles College students besides the book store in campus. I like text mania, because it offers most of the text book used in the class. The price of the book is a little bit lower than the book store, plus, they will give you some extra stuff, like a solution book or study guide. You can also sell your used text book there. more
