I have so many fond memories of going to this festival as a kid. The food was awesome... the best "steak on a stick" I've ever had. I hope they still have it. Also it was so fun to watch the bird trainers... absolutely amazing. It was a fun family time. Good stuff... Gotta love living in Texas!! Pros: Fun times more

I can't believe it's almost time again and am so excited about the Texas Ren Fest this year. Last year was our first time to check it out and it is too much fun!!! Lots of food, beer and something different to do. Hurry up November and get here!!! Pros: Fun way to spend the weekend Cons: Little far, but worth it! more

    This fall fair, which traditionally runs between October and November, allows people to step back into the days of yore. With costumed merchants and performers roaming the massive fairground, the festival combines performance art with a medieval marketplace. Theatrics are at their highest, with each worker completely in character to enhance the period effect. Expect more than 200 performances daily on 21 different stages. Food booths offer everything from turkey legs to wine and mead.
