Gave me a knot in the pit of my stomach 9/23/2008

I had to remove my child from this facility after less than one half a day, because as I was leaving I overheard the staff refuse to take my 2 year old potty- training child to the bathroom when she asked to go. They said ""It isn't time to go to the potty now. We do that later."" How is a 2 year old supposed to hold in urine until it is a convenient time for the staff? There is no bathroom for the kids inside the classroom, so your child is fully dependent on staff to walk them down the hall when they have to go. Ridiculous! Oh, and to make matters worse, the director not only acknowledged that this is normal procedure (to not bring kids to the bathroom during certain times of the day that are ""too busy""), but she even refused to give us any of our money back until we legally threatened her.     First and foremost, the staff at Tender Years Daycare, Inc. strives to provide a safe and loving environment for the children entrusted to our care. We know how hard it is leaving your child with anyone, and we try our best to create the community and level of care that lets you do so with confidence. Your child will become part of our Tender Years Daycare family, where the children develop friendships with each other, and relationships with our staff.


    We believe strongly in a "learn" to play philosophy, where children naturally acquire skills and knowledge they need, while having fun playing with peers, and through exploring their world around them.


    We'll set things in motion by providing a rich array of opportunities to develop all aspects of a well-balanced, growing child. By having a range of children from infants to pre-Kindergarten, all of the children benefit. The younger ones watch and learn from the older ones, and mimic their play and actions. The older ones learn to be gentle "leaders", and those who are close in age share developmental stages and grow together, from walking and talking, imaginative play, physical play such as running and bike-riding, dancing and dress-up to quietly looking at books together.
