RUN AWAY QUICK!!! I spent quite a bit of time in his Avoca shop last winter working on a motor of my own. kept wondering why he was always peaking out the window to see what was going on outside and when I asked he said that the township had been sending somebody to check up on him and he wasn't supposed to be working there???? Well, I had been renting him a room for a few months and he was always behind in rent...long story short: I finall had to evict him and he never did finish the machine work on my bike and I guess that's probably good because what he did do was WAY messed up and I've had to replace many expensive parts!!..Just sorry for ever trusting the S.O.B. and will encourage anyone who has been robbed by him to contact the St Clair County Prosecutors office and make a complaint..talk to your friends and have them do the same because it's the only way that he will be stopped. I had dropped my 1979 sportster off too steve the first weekend of jan 2010,after many excuse's an three month's later he finally said it would be done in a week,after threatening court action.\r When I had picked it up he was in a sure fire hurry too leave when I had got there.After getting almost home it stalled an would not restart,an the transmission locked up.\r After repeated attempts to contact him ,I took it too another certified mechanic only too find out The $3000.00 I had paid steve too do the work was not performed,\r Anyone who like's being ripped off be sure too take it too him,Otherwise stay clear of this con man smooth talking rip off artist.
