Talula's Table

We have heard so many rave reviews of this place, but IMO it is suffering from a case of hype. For $250/couple, plus tip. We could have picked from any number of restaurants and had a meal that would have blown Talula's away. Dont get me wrong, I would recommend a restaurant where the atmosphere is charming and whimsical and the wait staff is very polite but you also have to raise the bar with the meal. The flavor combinations were too experimental and obscure. There was no depth or wow factor among the ten of us and I feel my guests were being polite. more

The shop is fabulous, but the restaurant (only one table which seats 8-12 people a night) is out-of-this-world and well worth the necessity of reserving a year in advance. Book it for a special occasion and enjoy the best meal you will ever eat. more

I have known about Talula's Table for a long time but there is a year long wait for dinner reservation. Today, I finally had a chance to visit this little gourmet shop and to try some of their delicious cheeses and croissants. The Gorgonzola with honey and pecans was the best cheese I have ever had and made it worth the trip,The chocolate croissants were also world class. The sandwiches, salads,and speciality dishes looked delicious. I know I'll be back to try some more. more

Come by and check out this shops unique offerings. Cheeses and munchies, breakfast and lunch items amidst an often eclectic clientele. The Dining Experience is nationally recognized though I must confess I haven't had the pleasure to date. To dine at Talula's I'm told there is a YEAR's waiting list for dinner reservations. I'm told it's worth the wait. more

The owners of Talula's Table, Aimee Olexy and her husband, Bryan Sikora, used to own the then wildly popular Django in South Philadelphia. They now own an adorable gourmet shop and cafe in Chester County's "horse country," Kennett Square, not far from the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center equine facility. There is one farm-house table that seats 10 and can be reserved for dinner, but at breakfast and lunch hours this serves as a community table. \r \r At Talula's Table you'll find artisan cheeses (they give samples), house-cured meats, and excellent breads and rolls. With so little seating, take-out is the usual plan, but take a chance at the community table. You may enjoy the conversation as well as your meal. more
