TOWNE TAVERN AT FORT MILL

Love the Towne Tavern...Matt tends the bar Monday - Friday...super fast service, and always with a smile. He knows when you need something before YOU know! :D Owners are often present...like that, servers always smiling, fast and bringing yummy food. I feel like I "belong" when I go to the Towne Tavern...and that's how it should be. Kudos!! more

This is one place that neither my friends nor I will EVER be seen at again. I gave it 1 star only because there was nothing lower! My friend sat at the restaurant for an HOUR and was never served even though thee waitress kept serving everyone else around him. We showed up and sat there for another 15 minutes while 2 waitresses came out to help other customers and totally ignored us. Considering how pathetic the customer service was, one would hope that they might put a little more attention into the food. Due to the substandard, pathetic, crappy customer service I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone I know. more

I would like to take this time to thank, owners Stef and Danny for going smoke free, this has been an amazing help! My husband and I have loved this cool venue since it first opened. We have always had the best times there and now enjoy it more with all our new neighbors. This place has the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. I had purchased a $25.00 gift certificate at Restaurant.com and I will NOT be using it. My daughter went there tonight to try it before we visit, (no gift certificate) because we were planning to go there when we do visit. The "manager on duty"--bartender,LULU-- was the MOST UNCONCERNED, RUDE,....I could go on.... UNcustomer friendly employee with an uncalled for attitude that any of us have EVER encountered in a place of business--particularly a restaurant. I have now tried to call to get the manager or owners name and after 3 long distance trys, I have given up for tonight. They supposedly don't close for another 2 hours, but will not answer the phone. Another reason to question their competency. None of our family or friends will EVER go back there and we will tell everyone we encounter not to go as well. This is a Real shame, as they have just moved to Baxter Village and we were all very excited to try this restaurant. I have never written a bad review for any establishment, and I am 59 years old. I have just never experienced anything like this before. more

We visited Towne Tavern at Fort Mill for the first time tonight and are kicking ourselves for not trying it sooner. Conveniently located on Highway 160 in Fort Mill, this will definitely become a regular stop for our family. There is plenty of table seating, as well as a bar to hang out or dine at. Several TVs offer a variety of sports options for your viewing pleasure. The atmosphere is loud and upbeat, perfect for watching the game or enjoying a casual meal with friends and family. The food at the Tavern is superb and just what these former Buffalonians have been craving. The large, loaded potato skins served with a side of sour cream were the perfect start to our meal - the portion was huge so we even had some to take home! The house dressing is delicious on the side salad. The fish fry (HADDOCK!!) is cooked to perfection, and the large portion is served with delicious tartar sauce and handcut fries. Their beef on weck tasted just like "home" and was served with a side of horseradish. Prices at the Tavern are very reasonable and there are specials on various nights, including kids eat free night on Tuesdays. Our waiter kept our drinks full and our table cleared. Danny, the owner, is quite personable and easy to talk to. We enjoyed talking about Buffalo, especially the Sabres and Bills. I highly recommend the Towne Tavern at Fort Mill and can't wait to bring friends and family here to get a taste of authentic Buffalo food. Don't worry - they serve sweet tea ;) more

TAVERN AT FORT MILL IS A NEW RESTAURANT IN THE AREA. IT'S A SMALL FRIENDLY SPORTS BAR ATMOSPHERE. THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE AND THE FOOD IS GREAT. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THE PORTIONS ARE ALMOST TOO MUCH TO EAT. THEY HAVE A BAR THAT YOU CAN ALSO EAT AT AND THEY HAVE OUTSIDE DINING TOO. THEY HAVE SOME DIFFERENT MENU ITEMS LIKE THEY MAKE THEIR OWN POTATO CHIPS INSTEAD OF FRENCH FRIES AND THEY WERE REALLY CRISPY. THEN THEY HAVE THE STANDARDS LIKE BURGERS AND FRIES. IT'S A GOOD EATING EXPERIENCE. I'LL GO BACK AGAIN. more
