extremely poor service and communication!!! 12/20/2014

Our pool is looks great so far!! (but never got the opportunity to swim in it) it took 4 months to install, when they said 6 weeks at the most!!! The service and lack of communcation was very disappointing.I even begged to have the safety cover put on early october ,because we were going out of the country.We returned to find out it still wasnt done! The least they could do is throw in the last $1000 for the safety cover, for the added aggrevation it should be free. One month later they are pestering me to pay the last $1000. Hows it feel to Wait!!! P.S.thought Jason who opened and closed the pool was awesome!!!! Bill could use a few lessons on customer service!!! more

Poor Communication and Customer Service 5/18/2009

Bad: No Communication between Owner & Installers. Improvements: Better Customer service. Other: Owner failed to communicate with installers on our desire to move pool from original location after we had requested it. Installers showed up but no bobcat to dig new site. Co-owner Garrett Quackenbush took a very confrontational and threatening stance when confronted by myself. Told me he would send $50.00 check to refund estimate cost and did not do so.. more

Syracuse Pool Stinks 6/8/2007

I had similar problems as the other poster. Syracuse Pool would show up one day, work an hour or so, then leave, never to be seen from for another 2-3 days. They didn't even finish our pool in the season they started it - they had to come back and finish it the next year! To top it off, the salesman that sold us the pool "Rex", was later fired for not being honest with customers, yet the owner "Bill" refused to make things right. He would simply say "Rex shouldn't have told you that". Of course, the point is that Rex did tell us those things, and as the owner of the company, Bill should have stood behind his product. We have rocks sticking out from under our liner, concrete stains all over our driveway, and they never picked up their garbage. To top it all off, our heater never worked properly, and today it completely shut off. I just had a repairman from another company fix it, for a cost of $300. It was worth paying $300 to someone else - just so I didn't have to deal with Syracuse Pool and Patio. One last thing - we had a leak in our liner and I asked them to fix it. "Garrett" said he would send me a patch kit. I objected, thinking they should come out and fix it, as the liner was still under warranty. Garrett told me that the liner warranty only covered leaks at the seam. I then asked him how he could be sure the leak wasn't on the seam - if he never bothered to come out and look at it. He simply replied "the liners never leak at the seams", which effectively negates the entire liner warranty. For our next pool we will definitely use Tarson or Liverpool. Buyer Beware!!! more

Terrible Service 6/10/2006

Pool was supposed to be put in on may 31st 2006.. didn't start digging until june 2nd.They would do a little bit of work, take a few days off and tell us some excuse as to why they haven't finished the pool then promise to come the next day and never come or call. It is now june 10th and our pool isn't finished. Syracuse Pool and Patio is not a reliable business and we will never do business with them ever again. They tell you what you want to hear, and then do not back up their word. more

When we needed whirlpool service, Syracuse Pool and Patio staff members responded very quickly. They checked to see if we were under warranty and then they completed all necessary repairs in a quick and effective manner. We could not have asked for a more effortless interaction to correct the problem. more
