Sunset Bar & Grill/Boat Launch

My experience at Sunset Bar and Grill was hands down the worst dinning experience I've ever had. Best way to put it, tourist trap. The view was nice, however we waited for over an hour and a half for our food. Our waitress never asked us for refills and we had to go to the bar every time we wanted one. I ordered the perch, basically 'glorified fish sticks', the perch still had skin and scales on it. I received 4 pieces of perch for 15 dollars (that's the cheap one). My waitress told me after the meal that they would have doubled my size order for 4 dollars more. I ordered a side of German Potato Salad which came out after my food. Not only was it scalding hot but it was literally just potatoes covered in apple sauce. My girl friend ordered the baked cod which was just two tiny breaded pieces. At the end of the night for some crappy fish and a couple beers my bill was over $50. Not only is it almost impossible to find with the road signs it was the worst dinning experience I've ever encountered in Door County. more

I had the perch and my husband had the babyback ribs. The ribs were so tender they fell off the bone, they were soooooo good. We sat outside and watched the sun set over the water. It was beautiful. I will definitely be back! Pros: awesome fish and ribs more

Our family favorite in Door County! Consistantly great food and great atmosphere. Best perch I've ever had. The sunsets are unbeleivable! Pros: Love the food and the atmosphere. Cons: Very busy in summer. more

The service was terrible, the staff was unfriendly, and the food was below average. We waited nearly an hour for our food, and the servers never checked back to see if we needed anything. I could overhear customers at the table next to ours debating if they should just leave because they hadn't gotten there food or a refill on their drinks. Not recommended at all. There are many places in the area that are much better! Pros: nice view Cons: terrible service, below average food more
